BlueSky used to be just birds, but then I polluted my feed with a bunch of news sources. I’ve been an activist, donated $, & tried to help stop the madness. We have failed. For health reasons, I can’t handle the cortisol rush from anger every morning. Our country is unacceptable. Taking a break.

The “Manet and Morisot” exhibit at the Legion of Honor Museum was exquisite. What a fantastic and rare friendship and collaboration they had — a nonsexual, professional relationship between a man and a woman in the late 19th century, two giants of Impressionism. San Francisco.

San Francisco is the kind of place where you can find a compost bin along a nature trail. 💕

Trying to get the last bit of life out of my aging crabapple tree. Pruned it this winter after years of not doing so. It’s past its 25yr lifespan… advice is to just plant a new one. We’ll see how it fills out this month.

Going to be a lovely day.

Springsteen releases new song: "Streets of Minneapolis": Oh our Minneapolis, I hear your voice Singing through the bloody mist We’ll take our stand for this land And the stranger in our midst... We’ll remember the names of those who died On the streets of Minneapolis

Ian Austin, an Army veteran, was arrested for protesting ICE in Minneapolis. But he’s continued protesting. Senior reporter @julialurie.bsky.social spoke to him. “When they say, ‘Why would you be out here?’ How the fuck could I not be out here?” he says. “My nation is under attack."

Good morning!

Pam Bondi just sent a letter to Minnesota officials saying ICE will leave if the state turns over its voter database to Trump. Guess what? This has never been about safety or immigration. It’s a pretext for Trump to take over elections in swing states.
