I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

Most Americans abhor what they see, because what they see is abhorrent. This is how the great sleeping giant of America awakens, roars, and puts an end to it. This is how America throws the bums out on November 3.

D.C. is making cuts that put Oregon’s schools, health care, and community safety at risk. This year I signed a law to protect Oregon from some of those cuts. Christine Drazan voted against the bill and voted against a tax break for low- and moderate-income families.

Jon Husted voted against the release of the Epstein files just weeks after receiving a maximum campaign contribution from an Epstein co-conspirator. Ohioans deserve strong leaders in Washington, not pedophile protectors.

Health care decisions should be between you and your doctor, not your health insurance company. It’s time for Washington to stand up to the health insurance industry and make it illegal for them to deny you care that your doctors say you need.
