Per declaration from the Pentagon's General Counsel, the OLC boat strike memo is TS/SCI, exists in hard copy only, there are only four hard copies, and DoD's sole copy is secured in his safe. Umm, ok This is not some sort of super secret squirrel CA program www.nytimes.com/2026/09/30/u...

1. Jay Feely, a former NFL kicker and a GOP candidate for Congress in Arizona, has made “protecting women’s sports” a centerpiece of his election campaign. So I reviewed years of Feely’s podcast appearances to see what he actually thinks about female athletes. 🧵

The trailer for my new film, "Musk," has just been released.

Rolling Stone@rollingstone.com

Filmmaker Alex Gibney has shared the first trailer for 'Musk,' a two-part, four-hour deep dive into Elon Musk that Rolling Stone called “a nonfiction horror movie” following its film festival debut earlier this month. Watch ↓

1. Texas, because I graduated from UT Austin and lived in Texas a lot. 2. Arkansas, grew up there, family all went there, live there now. 3. Never LSU, no matter who. 4. Never A&M, UNLESS playing LSU or OSU. 5. Always other SEC teams, UNLESS playing each other, then calcs are infinite.

This “game” on the White House website, a version of Snake where you play as a white man in a suit and you run around picking up identifiably black, Asian, and Latino men and putting them in orange jumpsuits, might be the most openly white supremacist thing I’ve ever seen the US government produce

Definitely need to have a RECKONING over *checks notes* companies making donations and creating action plans they never fully followed through on and *checks notes again* executives reading books.

finally reading the Atlantic piece on “Woke 1” and it’s interesting how even in their attempt to list the movement’s sins they struggle to identify anything significant

Here’s the latest stop motion animation from my Tiny Angry Witch team. (I’m the writer, I can’t take credit for the animating!) It’s one of our longest, and it nearly drove us all mad, but we’re really proud of getting it made! 1 x Tiny Angry Witch 1 x broom No AI

Why not both?

You could get mad about dead senator discourse *or* you could enjoy this video of sea lions who have retaken an island with a decommissioned lighthouse off the coast of Oregon and now use the staircase as a giant slide.

Open the (journalism) schools! So many follow-up questions unasked. What is the funding mechanism for Freedom Fuel gas stations? If it’s in partnership with a private company, what’s the company? What’s the long-term plan for this, if there is one?

Move over, World Cup stars, Hudson is ready for kickoff! ⚽ Our male muskox is showing off some seriously powerful soccer skills as he headbutts and chases a massive soccer ball around. Enrichment plays an important role in animal care by encouraging natural behaviors.

Just finished this book and holy crap, so very good. Read this! Thank me later!

Suzanne Palmer@zanzjan.bsky.social

Hey, new book drops 5/26, which is very close to my birthday, so if you can't bring me cupcakes, a pony, a vintage VW bus, or chocolates, you can just pre-order my book instead (-:

I think the tech of LLMs, generative "AI," etc is super fuckin' cool. I'm less fond of the hype, the oversell, the yoking of our economy to a small handful of hugely overvaulated companies and the utter contempt the CEOs of these companies clearly have for the vast majority of humans.

Chloe du Plessis@chloe-duplessis.bsky.social

to be fair I don't think you'd much like "AI" even if they hadn't stolen your work to train it for, you know, all the other listed reasons there

Just a reminder, for no particular reason: The Trump administration sent all federal workers who were remote or teleworking back into the office five days a week.

They are talking like traffic engineers haven't been trying - and failing - to fix traffic congestion for the last 70+ years It's the wrong question to ask And a good part of the reason we're in the mess that we're in

When I saw the pic for this article I immediately yelled “Cold Bear!” because I recognized Colbert in the background. Thanks @blairbraverman.bsky.social for this return visit with dearly missed friends. (Also said, out loud to nobody in my office, “It’s Boudica, bitch!”)

It's hard to think about retiring from racing, because mushing is, and will always be, a huge part of my life. So I took a journey with my older dogs, who have retired themselves. They've taught me so much over the years; now, they're teaching me to live with change. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/18/m...

This is an amazing read from start to finish. I laughed out loud several times, this judge is absolutely fed up and straight spitting facts.

So as a taxpayer I’m now footing tanker escort bills for oil companies, in addition to footing bills for the bombs that caused the oil companies to lose their insurance and need escorts? SO MUCH WINNING

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Bessent: "Over the weekend, Lloyd's of London nullified the insurance, so the US government is going to step in and provide safe passage through the straits for the oil tankers"

I am convinced that 98% of AI enthusiasts are folks who can’t read and think that something that will read for them is magic and therefore everyone must want it because if they can’t read, no one can.

I’m sorry to say I read this article and in it, the author gives three examples where he’s surprised by white women he knows getting mad at him for comically obvious reasons, and then his hypothesis is that he doesn’t know, maybe we’re mad because we didn’t get to have enough babies or something.

hannah gais@hannahgais.bsky.social

I don't know, Heritage Foundation-tied publication, maybe white liberal women are mad because a federal immigration official shot and killed one of them. And then called her a "bitch"? You know, on camera? www.dailysignal.com/2026/01/27/w...

Threatening us with a good time?

TOM HOMAN: “We’re going to create a database where those people that are arrested for interference, impeding and assault, we’re going to make them famous. We’re going to put their face on TV. We’re going to let their employers, in their neighborhoods, in their schools, know who these people are.”

ted cruz leaving is our most credible severe weather alert

Shea Jordan Smith@sheajordansmith.bsky.social

Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas) was spotted earlier today, January 20, 2026, on a plane heading to Laguna Beach as the state of Texas braces for a rare ice threat and arctic cold front.

I feel very strongly that this is the correct take on this. Wiles is pushing her narrative with a few probably pre-approved “pushback” quotes as bait.

capitolhunters@capitolhunters.bsky.social

People are treating Chris Whipple's Susie Wiles articles in Vanity Fair today as big news - the NYT even recapped them. But Wiles is no dummy; she knows how to work the press. These articles read like a Trump press release, excuse after excuse with no pushback. It's the anti-Chotiner interview. 1/

Rabbiatu is a nurse who worked during COVID, had been in the U.S. 30 years. A judge ordered that she could not be sent back to Sierra Leone for her safety, for fear of torture (!). So our evil regime sent her to Ghana (in shackles), and Ghana dragged her back to Sierra Leone.

Denise Wheeler@denisedwheeler.bsky.social

🧵This 58-year-old nurse from Maryland is seen being violently dragged along the ground by officials in Ghana. Trump deported her there. This abhorrent & disgusting abuse of a woman who saved American lives and cared for injured and ill Americans for 30 years. All the details below are worse.

According to recent articles I’ve seen, everyone older than than Gen Z cusses more, has more sex, and drinks more, which by Gen X standards indicates WE’RE the cool ones and therefore we make the rules. So fuck off with the middle parts and uncomfortable clothes and shitty music.
