Why are you rambling about VC "time horizons"? You sound like the only thing more pathetic than a tech bro: a wannabe tech bro.

Tim Sweeney is single-handedly killing Epic's legacy. Epic isn't even a joke at this point, they're the bad punchline that is just too sad to even laugh at. Crickets facepalm at this man.

Steam's AI disclosures are akin to "forcing developers to list their voting history", says man who must hate seeing eggs virtue signal that they're free-range. https://bit.ly/4yHFEyK

"Kevin Roose's new book, The AGI Chronicles, tells the story of the AI revolution." this milquetoast mfer is out hawking his slop book, declaring himself "AGI-pilled." Yeah, Kevin, we know.

Bolsonaro is not inevitable. AI is not inevitable. Now, people from the US, what do you need form us to help you win the midterms? A tip: interview André Janones. All left wing YouTube channels should interview him.

This is obviously false if you care to look, you're creating an American Exceptionalism. Backlash against AI is viral and common here in Norway and across the world. If you look in the US, your aunts and uncles are sharing AI generated political videos as well. Both can be true.

A serial rapist was elected twice as President, a fact we don't reckon with nearly enough. Now one of two major political parties has been molded in his image, run for and by violent sexual abusers who hate women.

Finally got around to watching Guillermo del Toro's Frankenstein. I'm biased to love every GDT film due to his stance on AI, but I liked it regardless. It isn't even really a monster movie because The Creature is so relatable and basically the protagonist. It's just a tragedy.

Smolgai just did three binkies in a row. Sorry but I don't have video evidence so you'll just have to trust me on this one.

Go see Wildwood. Seriously, don’t wait—go see Wildwood. What a piece of art. The love for the manual craft, for story that doesn’t hold back, for filmmaking that is not here to answer to stockholders, it weaves all through it. Incredible stuff.

I’m glad that Lula won for a lot of reasons but selfishly it kinda confirms that “swagless son of a fascist freak” will probably be a losing ticket when Trump dies and if the boys make a go for it.

It's *super weird* how a good night for democracies anywhere in the world is always a bad night for Vlad and Donny, personally and specifically.

ive talked on how i wont engage with writers who use ai, i wont eat at a restaurant with an ai menu, i wont have anything to do with it. but what this post illustrates is regardless of how OTHERS react, ultimately the worst part about using ai is that you are punishing YOURSELF and dont even know it

In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.

Flavio Bolsonaro loses his immunity since he did not run for re-election as Senator. Flavio Bolsonaro is widely expected to flee to the United States

Trying fish for the first time (the Unix shell, not the animal - thanks but I'm vegetarian) based on their no AI contribution policy. Not bad! I might stick with this.

Y’all aren’t going to see WILDWOOD. Y’all are going to see a prankster getting duped by a crook. WILDWOOD deserves your eyeballs. Your asses in seats.

We tried "everyone is entitled to an opinion" for three straight decades and all we have to show for it is four thousand cases of measles and a death cult running the government. It's time for people who don't know what they're talking about to shut the fuck up.

Oh cool! Ran a system update because of all the CVEs, now my computer can't find the kernel. Guess we're switching to Gentoo today.

It's okay to criticize our tools. That's how we get better tools. One thing I've learned over the course of my programming career: sentimental attachment to any particular way of doing things is never constructive. Always be looking for something better. Yes, this is about PHP.

You can say I'm just a JavaScript dev hater or whatever, but I actually have far more vitriol for React and other sentimentality-based trends within the JS ecosystem than I do for PHP. I just also think we can do better than PHP.
