They’re using American tax dollars to fund infrastructure in Argentina because that’s where they’re all going to flee when we kick them out of office
After announcing a $20 billion bailout of Argentina, the White House now says it's pausing $18 billion in funding for NYC infrastructure projects Russ Vought would love nothing more than to tear this country down to its studs

"And I think it is an extraordinary indictment of the character of our nation's thousands or millions of Ezras Klein that they set himself in opposition not against the violence currently being done but against the struggle." This right here.
I wrote about why the regrettable conclusions of Ezra Klein pissed me off so badly in the last couple weeks. On moral cowardice in an era that calls for clarity, and a popular political instinct to try to solve divisions of abuse by ignoring causes. www.the-reframe.com/eventually-y...

Please note that the things Mills is most mad about—false calls, and his officers being exposed to chemical weapons—have nothing to do with the feds attacking protesters. He's perfectly happy to have ISP do that instead so long as his guys are unbothered.
Broadview Police Chief Thomas Mills said ICE agents are draining the resources of his department and the community by making false 911 calls. He has demanded ICE turn over the names of all federal officers involved in each incident, and said he is ready to take ICE to court.

This by @katmabu.bsky.social is the best speech I've heard yet by any politician about what ICE/Trump/Noem is doing and it's not close.

There is a gulf in America. I submit it is the gulf between good and evil, or at least not-evil and evil. The gulf is not just between people who oppose this and people who are indifferent to it or reluctantly accept it in support of immigration policy or see it as collateral damage. /1

Now that @mikiesherrill.bsky.social is going to make Russ Vought pay for cutting tunnel funding, @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social should REALLY fuck with their brains by accusing Cuomo of being soft on terrorism bc his backer, Donald Trump, just stripped all of NYC's security funding.
Department of Homeland Security is cutting over $187 million or 86% of homeland security funding to New York State which will radically defund NYPD, FDNY, and NY State Police terrorism programs, according to a letter from New York Governor Kathy Hochul to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.

I don't think Trumpers actually believe the propaganda about urban centers being dystopian warzones. They're fully aware that the average American downtown in 2025 is full of trendy college educated professionals who they resent and want to make suffer.
Every single one of these clips was taken today in downtown Portland. Portland doesn’t want or need a federal takeover. If Trump insists on sending federal “resources” he can start with funding health care, bridges, affordable housing, and wildfire protection to name a few.

No doubt because at this point it’s too much of a stretch to imagine that these people wouldn’t already be in cabinet positions

It's almost like the words used matter more than the actual policy... and maybe that's why the right spent the last 50 years focusing on narrative capture...
