Obsessed with this post from a Japanese guy that's in LA for the (canceled) Uma live. Took his ticket refund and spent it on a Ford F-150 rental so he could rip through the California deserts. We're not so different. Foreigners come to Japan to rent Nissan GT-Rs to rip through the mountain passes.

a good time to bring up @merrykish.bsky.social's rant about The Floor with @danryckert.com

@lttstore.bsky.social I beg of you please produce T27 bits. This is the second time I've broken a T25 bit in a T27 screwhead. T27 is extremely common in the arcade industry. It is one of the primary screw types used in manufacturing by Raw Thrills, ICE, and Sega.

booted up Car Park Capital again today and had a laugh as i remembered these quotes from Stone Librande, SimCity's creative director

Colin Spacetwinks@spacetwinks.bsky.social

tried out Car Park Capital, and it's like... it is exactly what sickos for the 90s Bullfrog/Maxis type games are looking for. it is craaaazy how indepth it is on all the stuff you can manage and look at. honestly it'll take a bit to adjust to it. it's kinda like Dungeon Keeper meets SimCity 2000.

Came out deeply annoyed. Who is this for? I came out with zero additional insight because I've already been paying attention to every asshole move he's made in the last 10 years But no one who could appreciate being relayed the whole story is gonna sit there for four fucking hours!

There was five people in this theater when the movie started. Two people left at the intermission. Another tapped out 3 hours in.
