Typography people will be annoyed. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it. Or maybe it’s just me.

I had as much fun as anyone on the internet but now I think we’re all good now and can we please just turn it off

I was simply trying to set the artist free. First.

Just got my copy of an absolutely gorgeous thing that @lifewinning.com made. I am *delighted* to see this book back in the world. And you can get your own copy! It’s: so good networksofny2026.bigcartel.com/product/netw...

Took my first Waymo ride (ever) in SF just now. 40 minutes to go what was a 20 minute walk or 15 minutes on the BART.

Do I know anyone in SF that might be up for a drink next Wednesday? Wrong answers also ok. You can also email.

Just heard a NYC bartender comp a round of drinks for someone. The dream is alive again.

Eye popping. Court just unsealed Summary Judgment motions in New York Times v OpenAI / Microsoft. Easy to see why the AI companies had so many redactions (pink). Their own people wrote the lede for NYT, the "largest theft of labor in human history"... "more and more substitutive..." /1

Stepped out to walk the dog and didn’t expect to see this…

And just like that she disappeared into the university – expected to emerge, transformed, in about four years

I'm in Ireland, getting my eldest kid setup for college. I'm acutely aware that I've spent 90% of my "in-person" time with them. I may be an emotional mess next week.

The chart is sad in its own way, but very helpful for me. I saw it a few years ago and I took the message to heart. It will never be enough time but I am doing my best.

The 16 year old travelled alone to Amsterdam and came home today, 2 weeks later, with only a few scratches (from surfing it seems). My moody teenage self is envious.

INCREDIBLE: "Bichotte Hermelyn sent a text ... announcing a special meeting to consider her proposed bylaw changes" [August 25 at the Thomas Jefferson Dem Club.] "The eight challengers elected in June have not yet taken office, so votes would instead be cast by district leaders who lost to them."

NEW: We obtained Brooklyn Democratic Party chair Rodneyse Bichotte Hermelyn’s plan to upend an upcoming leadership vote that could unseat her. Opponents say they will likely sue.
