I’ve been a little too heads-down building these last few years… Unfortunately in the past month or two I’ve come to the conclusion that while I’m proud of what I built, my startup has one last swing left and it’s not one that needs me. So I am on the hunt for what’s next, be it leadership or IC.

After yelling at some finance bros for not moving to the center of the packed 6 train, I have come to the conclusion that @mayor.nyc.gov needs to open the Department of Energetic Etiquette Education so we can teach these new kids the way.

this php vulnerability is serious but also i am lmao at all the “i never liked php anyway” posts like it has allegations of malicious behavior. some of you need to come up with other ways to respond to news

🚨 The developers of PHP have just released new versions that patch two critical vulnerabilities that could allow remote code execution on any website running PHP (which is virtually all of them). www.php.net/archive/2026...

The details are now public, as of two hours ago. bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi... The secret P-384 keys for these intermediate CAs are all zeros except the last 8 bits. All not-updated software can be MITM'ed now. IOT boxes that can't or don't update are now trivially MITM'able forever.

bugzilla.mozilla.org2083449 - Private key compromise of eMudhra Intermediate CertificatesNEW (nobody) in CA Program - CA Certificate Compliance. Last updated 2026-10-20.

If you make HTTPS requests or have other TLS clients and care about MITM attacks, you need to update today. If you run Go: go get go@1.27.3 If you run Homebrew: brew update brew install ca-certificates If you run Linux, maybe stay off the internet for now.

NEW AD: “Ken Paxton says I don't have his experience — and he's right. I’ve never been indicted for fraud. I’ve never been reported to the FBI for bribery. I’ve never been impeached by my own party. And I’ve never given a sweetheart deal to a pedophile.”

Marjorie Taylor Greene comes out with a statement opposing the raid on Ilhan Omar before Chuck Schumer, the leader of the Democratic Party

It is INSANE that Chuck Schumer hasn't put out a statement on Ilhan Omar yet

this monday night, goblins! 🎤🎤🎤 come out from the confines of nor'easter shelter and sing new text sets like trader joe's products, youtube apologies...with a new visual montage mode that will have you screaming "wow i love coming to robot karaoke!" and/or "dark chocolate sticks with crispy rice"

jenn da joker@jennschiffer.com

btw, robot karaoke is back on the @wonderville.nyc stage on monday. you cannot pay me to slap you, but it's a free and always a fun time pools.events/event/q66LUy...

"[he explained to his date that he worked] at Palantir [because it] allows him to help pay off his parents … medical bills" 2 paragraphs later… "And … he makes up stories … like … the medical debt. His parents don't have any" Palantir may be a symptom, not a cause… www.wired.com/story/tech-b...

wired.comWhy No One Wants to Date Tech BrosOnce seen as nerdy but harmless innovators, men in tech are now widely regarded as red-pilled Elon Musk wannabes. It’s made getting laid a whole lot harder.

Really love "Gary" and his friends whinging about not getting laid because people hate AI and Palantir and completely missing the forest for the trees on the "lying about shit" part as if they're super sneaky and these women can't sniff that shit out?

we did this. by foisting pivot-to-video on everyone. then mobile-first. then crypto. then "metaverse", and finally ai bullshit that didn't work at the time it was rolled out to the masses.

headfallsoff@headfallsoff.com

on some level, you have to accept that yes, people are reacting emotionally without doing detailed research but really you can’t blame them or stop them. this was some bullshit not a single one of us had to think about three years ago and now it’s making shit worse in like most daily interactions

Once you notice this, it's the most obvious double standard in the political press. Democrats have to answer for the smallest voice even if it has no actual tie to them, but Republicans never have to answer for the insanely racist billionaire donor driving their entire party.

Schooley@schooley.bsky.social

Democrats who have had absolutely nothing to do with Hasan Piker will be hounded about him, while Republicans who are directly benefitting from Musk funding will be asked about him in the most generic "money in politics" way, if at all.

I’ve also been working on @buttery.recipes (caution: it’s maybe 90% functional so file bugs aplenty) to both learn more about ATproto as well as try out more hands off agentic coding techniques I can take with me to whatever is next.

Came across a dev saying they couldn’t do their job without LLMs now just like they wouldn’t have been able to do their job without being able to copy and paste from Stack Overflow 5 years ago

You can just decide to post bad all day if you want. It's not a big deal. Nobody is looking at this website but us.

I’m turning the corner on the fact that, with the right dev test loop tools, CORRECTNESS is no longer in question. But knowledge sharing and architectural overview still is, so what does a(n agentic) PR review look like from that lens

Brittany Ellich@brittanyellich.com

Testing a potentially unpopular opinion that I'm not sure the dev industry is ready for: Unless you're shipping something like nuclear safety code, you probably don't need a human reviewer for your PRs.

In the vein of modeling human behaviors one thing I often do on my PRs in larger teams is a “self review” where I call out important bits to the reviewer. I am… in between teams so I have no guinea pigs, but why can’t the review shift to be a “tutorial” walkthrough of the changes?

We love checking our email and seeing that the silly .sexy tld you bought 10 years ago had its renewal price hiked to $2,500+ per year. OH WELL BACK TO DOTCOM.
