People persuade themselves that they’re innoculated against cognitive bias by being aware of the potential for it. And that can help a bit. But more often it’s like an optical illusion: You don’t stop experiencing it just because you understand how it works.

Very pleased to find out that the tool I used to delete most of my tweets now has Bluesky functionality. The premium version is very much worth the money.

If you've been on Bluesky for years, you likely have thousands of posts, reposts, and likes here. Why should everything you post stay online forever? It's your data, it should be your choice. Use Cyd for Mobile 🐦️✨ to reclaim your Bluesky data! Learn more here lockdown.systems/cyd-for-mobi...

Good news! You can now pay for a Cyd Premium subscription monthly instead of yearly! 📆🐦️ You will still save money if you purchase a yearly subscription, but you now have the option to try Cyd Premium for a few months first. lockdown.systems/cyd-premiis-...

lockdown.systemsCyd Premium is now available for $4/monthWe're excited that you can finally get Cyd Premium accounts for $4 USD / month instead of paying $36 USD / year. Paying annually is still a better deal, but it's a lot cheaper now to just try it out. ...

In July 2025 we started the ICE Detention Map project to show ICE's reported detention centers. This data came from public records shared by ICE. But since April 9th 2026, ICE stopped sharing this data, entirely. Read more about what happened here: lockdown.systems/fragile-dhs-...

The Android version is ready to go. Unfortunately for iOS users, our app was rejected because we're not using Apple's anticompetitive In-App Purchases for premium accounts. We're working on complying with their ransom, stay tuned

I downloaded an app that is, even as I speak, going back through my X account and deleting all my old tweets. More than 75,000 of them, apparently. It has to be done but it still makes me sad. I still miss old Twitter. It was a big part of my life for a long time & nothing has replaced it.

Three days ago, we finally got around to archiving and purging our Xitter account. Start to finish, the process took just under two and a half days. That was 18 years worth of data, consisting of 12,000+ tweets, retweets, likes, and DMs. Thanks to @cyd.social for making the task so easy.

Guess what? I’ve been slowly but surely working on a @cyd.social mobile app with support for basically making your Bluesky account ephemeral. It’s not ready yet, but as I test I’m going to start deleting my old posts, reposts, likes, and chats (chat messages in my account, anyway)

We used @cyd.social to delete around 100k tweets this week. The platform makes it easy to migrate your old content here, too.
