UPDATE: Seeking to continue Trump's campaign to pressure states to hunt for alleged noncitizens on their voter rolls, the DOJ says pro-voters don't have standing to bring their lawsuit. The court will hear pro-voters' request to block the campaign on Friday.

I am going to go out on a limb and say that if Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are speaker and majority leader, no matter how large their majorities are, no progress will be made. They will do nothing.

Josh Turek of Iowa, Democrat, comes out with one of the worst anti-trans ads yet. Not only is it an anti-sports ad, it proposes a ban on federal funding for gender affirming care. That would hit all medicaid and medicare patients, and any ACA federally-subsidized plans as well. Horrific.

this is beyond fucked whether you follow any SW's or not, the fact that you are even on this platform is thanks in a large part to the SW community driving traffic in the early days. SW and trans people helped Bluesky win the clone war, and the leadership has done nothing but fuck them over since.

Bluesky pitchforks and flaming torches aren't going to keep it at bay. And I'm not arguing this is a fait accompli and we should accept our fate--we should absolutely fight back against these fuckwads who are pushing their tools down everyones throats and building data centers in our backyards.

"One word: bonkers" Yep. This is so criminally insane you have to wonder if it wasn't done on purpose. It likely wasn't, but you still have to wonder. I guess the old maxim "never attribute to malice..." applies here.
