The semester before Covid I interviewed the local veteran community on campus for insight into writing a more authentic Frank Castle story. I arrived at a sort of psychedelic character study where ghosts of Frank’s past would encourage or question his battle. I’m feeling vindicated AF today.

My theory is that Andy is now making the sort of money that most authors dream of so everyone who’s books aren’t big hits (most authors) wants to take Weir down a peg. Why else would people believe right wing grifter media blurbs so blindly? #themartian #artemis #projecthailmary

The Artemis mission to the moon and discovery of new colors on the surface might be the craziest accidental movie promo possible. With the Project Hail Mary hype and an Artemis adaption up next, this movie could give us the most realistic Moon depiction yet.

I saw this movie last night and I am still thinking about it. It’s so beautiful! 10/10 no notes.

Very interesting if it actually works. Hmmm. share.google/88v9m96fP5yd...

Where is Johnny Smith, when we need him? Since we don’t have a functioning Congress, who will impeach the bastard.

I've messaged my Senators. Messaged my Representative (who I admit is a doddering old man). It doesn't feel like enough. And I can't scream and rage at them because they'll instantly dismiss me. Even though it's acceptable for that PSYCHOPATH to do so. I hate this.

Love that Corgi 🤣🐶

Bravo New York! Mayor Mamdani and NYPD Announces Fewest Murders, Shooting Incidents in Recorded History for First Three Months of the Year.

Need one near where I live here in SW Washington, and a few more up along I-5. It is also important to note that wildlife crossings need to be combined with habitat corridor conservation.

Indie dev is when you have a weekend in another life, or when you leave this whirlpool. Do you like mazes? I decided that the game should have several labyrinths. This little drone levitates above the floor and sees differently, also it can press a button store.steampowered.com/app/4524700/

Cherry blossoms in Japan.

An Italian court just told Netflix the price hikes it pushed from 2017 to January 2024 were unlawful, ordered refunds, and said some users could get up to €500 back. Imagine opening the app and finding out the plot twist is consumer protection.

Jeff Bezos has $222 billion. If he paid my wealth tax this year, we could fund insulin in America for everyone who needs it plus free school lunch for every kid in Texas—and have plenty of money left over. And Bezos would still have $215 billion dollars to spare.

Amazon making a Robocop series will only work if they’re parodying Amazon services and products in the show itself.

One day, "It" will happen, by which I mean sudden and unexpected news that you want to celebrate. In such cases, you will want the right outfit. 🧵

I spent 4 months studying Antarctic land rights, ice depth, ecology, and geothermal potential for an action thriller set on the frozen continent. Now my wacky world building ideas are being pitched as IRL solutions.

In Nara, Japan, sika deer roam freely among cherry blossoms, creating a breathtaking scene each spring. These sacred creatures enjoy the beauty of hanami season too.

Not to nitpick fiction but it bothers me that there’s yet to be a Superman with a midwestern accent. He grew up in Kansas, rural Kansas even.

@lbc.co.uk “Sometimes there is too much wind for our outdated grid to handle, especially in Scotland & East of England. Rather than paying wind farms to switch off we’re trialling a new system where people who live near these constrained areas get cheaper ,or even free, electricity.” Govt on X.

NASA’s Earth photos from Artemis inspired me to put this on today… 🙂 Getting lots of positive comments on it as I run errands…

There’s an episode in the 1st season of the West Wing where Martin Sheen plays a president who’s mixed up his back pills and is off his rocker. He was still more coherent and professional than the orange tyrant on his best days. We used to laugh about this. Now we live it.

Pam Bondi still has to testify, under oath, in front of the Oversight Committee regarding the Epstein Files. Her employment status does not get her out of that bipartisan, lawful subpoena. We will see her again, soon. Enjoy. 😎✨

I love that Data saves the day pretty often on #StarTrekTNG like where he puts it all together for what happened to Geordi and Ro and by Cancelling out the Cloaking Effect ends up Saving the Ship when Geordi reappears and he stops the ship from going to Warp. #StarTrek #Treksky #Trekkies
