The ubiquitous of Limbaugh and Fox has harmed us all.

Ned Resnikoff@resnikoff.bsky.social

One thing I learned when I was just out of college and watching 6-8 hours of Fox News a day for my research job at Media Matters: Ingesting hours of propaganda on a daily basis changes you, no matter how smart you think you are. If you don't notice the changes, that just makes you an easier mark.

As with Charlie Kirk, Republicans are fiercely loyal to the general idea of Donald Trump but will furiously refuse to grapple with anything specific that he actually says or does.

This is basically saying we are terrorists.

Hegseth: "We unleash overwhelming and punishing violence on the enemy. We also don't fight with stupid rules of engagement. We untie the hands of our warfighters to intimidate, demoralize, hunt, and kill the enemies of our country. No more politically correct and overbearing rules of engagement."

Stop telling trans people that our calls for basic human rights are what’s holding the left back. Be honest: our humanity means less to you than the convenience of passivity.

Sometimes I see people like 20 tweets deep into an argument with Grok. Like, what are you doing brother? You are trying to win an argument with a vending machine.

"If you do not recognize that mass destruction of fundamental concepts of democracy and the US Constitution happening right now, you are either willfully ignorant or just plain stupid," is one of the most brutally accurate reads on the situation we're in today that I've read.

Mike Masnick@masnick.com

Wrote up something about Techdirt's recent coverage, and why (whether we like it or not) we need to be a "democracy blog" now, rather than just a "tech" blog (not that we've ever been just a tech blog). This story is *the* story and it impacts everything else. www.techdirt.com/2025/03/04/w...

It took seeing adult bullies to understand that my childhood bullies didn’t even really want to hurt me, they just wanted to feel powerful and how I felt about it wasn’t even in the equation. I can’t imagine someone not outgrowing that, but apparently it happens quite a lot!

If you’re still on Twitter expecting to get breaking news, you’re the same as someone waiting for the stagecoach delivery while everyone else is clustered around the telegraph. Also, the stagecoach is full of Nazis.

Someone blocked me on Bluesky. I will write a column about how it illuminates the inadequacy of Bluesky. Then when people make fun of me for that, I will write about that. And so forth, as many times as it works. I am a journamalist.

The true belief system of most Americans is that nothing too terrible could be happening while they still have a decent selection of dipping sauces.
