Each drawing in our game is hand-crafted 🌻 Each line of code is typed manually 🪷 Each asset of every scene is placed carefully 🌺 Each music and each sound is made thoughtfully 🪻 We love making this game and we hope some of you will love playing it 💌

Very nice feature indeed.

Ok, Bluesky adding profile links is super cool. Oh and I see the little icon for my mastodon account. I think is a very pro-social move and I very much approve.

I just realized today it's been almost two years since I started the refactor of CiderKit to support #swift 6 Strict Concurrency. As for many personal side projects, I work on it when I can. However, in the meantime, we shipped Battlestar Galactica, which took a lot of my energy along the way.

I feel it's important to share this again. The internet is so hostile toward creators nowadays. I've seen people have their work stolen, and no longer feel comfortable sharing their creations. We can do better. Let's be supportive to the people that make this a better place! 💞

Really eager to test Xogot with Swift in the near future.

So Danny Trejo was manipulated and tricked into being in Ben Shapiro's newest film. Holy shit.

New run and Gunstar🐟 in Battlestar Galactica : Scattered Hopes. Like FLT, I'll probably play it every 3 months for the next 15 years. Or like This War of Mine, which took me about fifty playthroughs and 11 years to complete.🚀 You should try a run on BSG SH, and there is a demo on Steam. 👇

I've tried Affinity, but it has not exactly clicked so far. This may resolve the problems I face since I unsubscribed from Adobe Creative Cloud.

Holy shit. Someone has decompiled the Adobe suite, rebuilt it in Rust and released it as open source. Either all software is dead or the US copyright laws are about to receive an update. getartcraft.com/apps

As for many games, it's been a long walk to make this happen. And the game has evolved a lot since the studio started working on it more than a decade ago (sigh), before my tenure. It's far from a perfect game, but I'm very proud of what we accomplished at the time.

The Spaceshipper 🚀@thespaceshipper.com

Crying Suns was released 7 years ago today. "This tactical rogue-lite puts you in the role of a space fleet commander as you explore a mysteriously fallen empire." The same studio - @altshiftgames.bsky.social - released the very good Battlestar Galactica: Scattered Hopes a few months ago!

I found something odd in Apple Maps. If you click on the lower part of the weather widget (at the bottom right of the window), it opens the Google Maps Platform web page. Is Apple secretly using Google data for Maps?

Exactly 10 years ago we released our first game Event[0]. In this game you end up in a lonely retro-futuristic spaceship, where your only chance of survival is to convince the AI of the ship to help you. You type what you want to say, years before generative AI thank to our custom made system.

store.steampowered.comEvent[0] on SteamEvent[0] is a sci-fi narrative exploration game where you build a relationship with a lonely spaceship computer to get home to Earth.

Now that CiderKit.Macros is published, and has seen several revisions, it is time for me to put together a post-mortem of the experience of writing #Swift macros. Very interesting and powerful once it clicks, but it has a very steep curve at the start. chsxf.dev/2026/09/14/1...

chsxf.devWriting Swift MacrosHaving the ability to generate code when needed by manipulating attribute-like elements in your code is almost too good to be true. However, as you’ll see in this post, Swift macros are not all sunshi...

Over the week-end, I've been experimenting with #Swift macros. I have to admit it has been the most frustrating journey I've had in a long time. And the lack of proper documentation and debugging capabilities isn't helping. But, still, I managed to write my first macro: github.com/chsxf/CiderK...

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who helped us survive a decade. We have a cool month of new retrospective docs, returning series, patron exclusives, archive tapes and much more coming over the next month. A small thank you. Thank you all so much. The mission continues.

10 Years. We did it. Thank you all for supporting our work. We do not have the words.

For some time, I've used GeForce Now to play some games that are not natively available on the Mac. It works generally great, but it has a major flaw: persistence in case of a game crash or a network error. I'm currently playing Caravan SandWitch. I started with GeForce Now.

But I moved to crossover because of the very regular session losses. After having played for 1h for example, losing your current session results in the remove VM closing before Steam has the time to properly upload the current save to its cloud infrastructure. Therefore, this hour is lost.

This is technically true. When we buy a game on a physical medium (disks or cartridges), we only own the medium. The software is still only licensed to us. Still technically, the second hand market is not exactly "legal", as the license agreement says the software license is not transferable. 1/3

Dexerto@dexerto.bsky.social

Sony has responded to a digital games lawsuit by arguing that players don't actually own the games they buy Its lawyers say they are licensed rather than sold

However, it worked like this for many years and it helped PlayStation immensely anyway. Microsoft tried to tie the games to the a specific console / account with the Xbox One, which would have killed the second hand market, and it did not go well. 2/3

License agreements should include clauses that guarantee refunds for unlisted games to players that have played less than a certain amount of time (for example, below half the median played time for all players). Or like Steam does. These clauses should extend to digital store closures too. 3/3
