CSS-Tricks has a new owner! Yes, I've got the keys to the castle, so to speak. And, even after 12 years of working on the site, I'll admit I'm a little overwhelmed and nervous about that. https://css-tricks.com/css-tricks-has-a-new-owner/

I built a fun little Chrome extension that lets plants invade your abandoned tabs the longer you leave them unread. To access them again, you have to slash through the vines 🪚🌿

Been noodling on this game for probably 2 years, finally folded it all into a site. The goal was a word game where you can play casually hitting the par, or geek out on and max your score. As well as a pretty way to share your solve.

The answer to this was pretty satisfying. 1. @cloudflaredev.bsky.social Worker running on a ~5min cron. 2. API keys stored in their secret store thing. 3. Hits the official APIs and pulls latest stuff 4. Stores IDs of latest stuff so it doesn't re-report same stuff. 5. Send to a Slack webhook

Has anyone built a "all new comment from all videos on a YouTube channel get sent to a Slack channel" thing?

has comedy ever done that thing where it's like "everything bagel?! there is only like 4 basic things on there. a real everything bagel would stretch our conceptions of time and space!!"

Here's a cool I just tried and it worked great. I pointed my agent at a cool Pen I was working on with variable fonts. I said "go pull the files from this Pen and incorporate the idea into the header of this local WordPress site I'm working on" It worked great.

The GTA6 site transitions between sections. Still early in, but I think I'm getting pretty close with scroll-driven animations. Next I need add a delay for stacked elements. Having things fade out a little later than others makes it a lot nicer. The videos do make it a bit cooler, though 😅

✂️ 🌆 Image cropping everywhere! You can now crop an image in the Asset Manager (which opens in both 2.0 and the Classic Editor) and directly in the 2.0 editor.

me talking about this cool niche feature of how CodePen can process code

CodePen@codepen.io

"Inline Block Processing" is a cool thing CodePen can do. Here's a video showing it off: www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyAF... Docs: blog.codepen.io/docs/pens/bl... Examples: codepen.io/collection/e...
