The director of FEMA is not allowed to do this legally. The director of OMB is not allowed to do this legally. The President of the United States is not allowed to do this legally. They're a gang of criminals, and should suffer the consequences.

Don Moynihan@donmoyn.bsky.social

FEMA tells states: We're incompetent, hopelessly politicized, unable and willing to fulfill our statutory responsibilities. The take care clause of the constitution no longer exists. www.politico.com/news/2026/10...

❗❗❗Mark Zuckerberg's meta just suspended the No Kings Instagram account. I just rushed back from my local No Kings to jump on this. Bottom line, would be helpful for all pro-No Kings folks to elevate the issue and help us get the word out about No Kings today. The Nerd Reich strikes again.

the feds have done more to harass americans angry over good and pretti’s killings than they have to investigate them

Adam Steinbaugh@adamsteinbaugh.bsky.social

After federal agents shot Alex Pretti in Minneapolis, a New Yorker sent ICE's director an email in January comparing him to a Nazi. This week, DHS agents stalked him across New York. His home. A hotel. They gave his wife a letter warning of criminal prosecution. www.syracuse.com/news/2026/06...

I can't believe I'm posting this video - but we actually have to have a conversation about the real world implications of America going to war over Greenland. Let me walk you through it. It doesn't turn out well for us.

I am impeaching Secretary Kristi Noem, who is an incompetent leader and a disgrace to our democracy. She wreaked havoc in the Chicagoland area and has brought her reign of terror to Minneapolis. One of her rogue ICE agents shot and killed an innocent woman today. It must come to an end.

masked, unidentified goons who assault and murder with impunity. a literal gestapo.

Kelly Stuart@skyspider.bsky.social

This is the ICE agent who murdered a woman by shooting her multiple times in the face.

1. ICE will kill you. 2. Trumpists will lie to justify it. 3. Because they are all thug trash.

This is the only correct position, and the inevitable response from knee-jerk centrist reactionaries of "it won't work" is not a valid objection. Every member of Congress has a duty to say that what Noem has been doing is not acceptable.

feels stupid to say at this point but how the fuck isn't anyone invoking the 25th amendment.

Trump: "Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest Armada ever assembled ... It will only get bigger, and the shock to them will be like nothing they have ever seen before — Until such time as they return to the USA all of the Oil, Land, and other Assets that they previously stole from us."

We are not at war with Venezuela, yet. The boats are civilian craft. The U.S. criminal code does not maintain a death penalty for drug smuggling. Due process is required before conviction or sentence. All of the 80 people killed thus far are wanton murders slain under illegal orders. All of them.

The hardest problem in computer science reposted

In fact, many news outlets have found exactly that, but that's not the most important thing. Our government has no right to kill any of these people. The men on these boats could all be drug traffickers, but killing them is still murder.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

Cotton on Trump's boat strikes: "Use common sense. If any of these had been boats full of fisherman or refugees, CNN would've already been on the ground & interviewed all their families & told their stories. We can be confident all of these strikes have been against cartel-based drug traffickers."

I'll get back to "party unity" as soon as the Senate Minority Leader tells us if he voted for the Democratic party nominee for mayor of his city. I'm tired of party unity only ever running one way.

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run. We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader. If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇

The coordinated nature of this—none are facing voters in 2026—means that either Schumer approved it or failed in his job as Senate Majority Leader to stop it. Dems voting "no" get zero credit until they demand a change in leadership. Schumer out as Leader, Durbin out as Whip.

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable. We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina. A vote for this bill is a mistake.

Trump: I'm dismantling the Constitution, building a paramilitary fascist army loyal only to me, demolishing the White House, and blowing up the US economy for my billionaire cronies Schumer: Okay, but you have to extend subsidies for corporate health care Trump: No Schumer: Okay

While we do not agree on all issues, I want to publicly thank UNC-CH Chancellor Lee Roberts for clearly stating today in Faculty Council that UNC cannot and will not sign Trump's Compact, because it raises irresolvable issues of academic freedom. That was important for faculty & students to hear.

News Analysis: Nine months into his term, President Trump’s approach to allies, adversaries and competitors around the world has proved a strange mix of successes and increasingly frequent and erratic eruptions.
