And as an aside - you should not doubt how fucking uncool D&D was in 1998 as a game, and how poisoned that particular well had been for a while. Baldur's Gate turned that around, and if you do want a road from D&D then to D&D now, it does strike me that Bioware's needs more credit than they get.

What could be more Halloween than a BAT? How about a bat colored like a JACK-O-LANTERN? Let's meet the Painted Bat (Kerivoula picta), also called the butterfly bat, native to SE Asia. 🦇🎃 (📷: MerlinTuttle.org)

the thing about the slimeball dems who sell out the trans community is that no matter what anyone tells you, the selling out doesn’t stop with *just* the trans community

Seeing lots of 25th memorials, but nobody seems to reiterate that when the towers fell, Dick Cheney was functionally the president, and that's a large reason things turned out the way they did, and why it is so bad today.

If you have a Gmail account, you need to read this. Google's AI now scans your emails and attachments, bank statements, tax files, medical letters, all of it. It turned on by default, and there's a class-action lawsuit over how. Here are 5 moves to shut it off, the switch is hidden in two places:

We have a spherical prism hanging in the living room window that catches light just before sunset and sprays little rainbows across the room. Today it caught me in the eye and I managed to line up the band of green wavelengths with my green iris.

I've received radiation twice so far, and still can't transform, or even get a neck vein to turn green when I clench my jaw. Tomorrow I'm sneaking a spider into the clinic so it can bite me when I'm on the slab. If that fails, I have some serious questions about Stan Lee's science credentials.

Tom Savini is a fucking legend. And he lost everything. His home. His beloved pets. His life's work - work that served as the foundation of the horror we hold most dear. There isn't the character count to list his legacy here. If you can, please consider donating. www.gofundme.com/f/support-to...

The CDC has changed the color coding on its COVID-19 wastewater maps to conceal the virus's prevalence (which is increasing again). Pay attention to the numbers, not the colors.

Well, I signed the severance agreement papers for our layoff last night. Today was my first full day as an officially unemployed person. Nine years and seven months in the video game industry.

Mimolette, sliced thin and paired with a dram of single malt, or a jigger of cream sherry.

I've been asked why there are so many Canadians in comics and other creative pursuits (art, music, acting, games, etc.) and the simple truth is that with Canadian healthcare (as imperfect as it can be) you can build a freelance career without medical debt unexpectedly destroying your dreams.

FIFA clearly using the VAR official to put their thumb on the scale. That at least the third instance this cup of an underdog having a legit goal called back.

One of the many ... many reasons I loathe Ai written responses, is the similarity in tone, cadence, and artificially elevated vocabulary that makes pretentious artist statements insufferable. Same grey soup. Not palatable.
