A Chinese translation of my book Algorithm, Image, Art has been published by Zhejiang People's Fine Arts Publishing House. I'm really excited that this will allow more people to read it outside of primarily English-speaking contexts.

the moral rights to our own work is a pretty important concept underpinning lot of people’s livelihoods and our collective creative future that there are devs out there that see no issue with dismantling that because they prefer slop coding to practicing their profession will turn me into the joker

Hill I'm ready to die on: whether for grants or articles, review by AI is not *peer review*. Review based on a 1st scan by AI without actual reading of the grant or manuscript is not peer review either.

Recently I presented alongside @carvalhais.org a bit of research about this in @xcoax.org . I explored the history of spatiotemporal video visualizations, speacially those used for media analysis incluiding the work of many others. Have a look!

This album is part of the Textuur Project, a series exploring methods of stripping sounds from their original context and fragmenting them into ever-smaller particles and questioning where representation gives way to abstraction.

This album was inspired by the poetry of Greta Monach (1928–2018), a pioneering Dutch artist who forged her own path in the fields of computer-generated composition, microtonal singing, and sound poetry.

I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful
