American institutions (and individuals) have more often than not punished Indigenous children and Black and Brown children— actual children— as adults, while excusing the behavior of white men. But hearing a white man calling his actions at 53 a "youthful indiscretion" really takes the cake.

It’s not even like any of them, or their political cohort, DON’T want to defeat Trump. It’s just that in the end, other things seem way more important to them. This is why we’ve all gone mad.

TOMB Marcinko@tommarcinko.bsky.social

Harris, Biden, Obama, the Clintons … they all have their good points. But I don’t want to hear from them about how to beat Trump. No fund pitches and certainly no advice. If they knew how to do it they’d have done it.

If exercise helps your medical conditions, I am truly happy for you, but holy crap, you really shouldn’t be insisting everyone do whatever routine you do. For a ton of reasons, really, largely revolving around “every body is different”, with occasional stops by “you’re making them feel awful”ville.

we have now reached the critical “ass-plaining” phase of trumps ranting

Trump: The fake news only covered the ass part. They said 'what the hell was Trump doing talking about a man's anatomy? He was talking about his ass.' I studied his ass to see where the power came from

What Kamala Harris proposes in not impeaching Trump is this the same reason why letting Jefferson Davis and the rest of the Confederate soldiers and leaders off the hook was a bad idea.. We've been paying for it ever since😡

it's cool how there is at least as much evidence atp for voters viewing Abdul as a perfectly normal Democrat as there is for voters viewing him as a scary radical

I see we're doing reading discourse. I'm a doctoral candidate and some days it's hard for me to read because my health condition confers a dynamic cognitive disability. I used to be a much more voracious reader, but my management has to be on point for me to have both the motivation and attention.

and when I do feel good, well, there are many different priorities that are vying for my energy, motivation, and attention. so it isn't just about wanting to and not making the time.

before I was diagnosed, I actually read a lot of research articles on POTS; the IMRD (introduction, methods, results, discussion) structure and straightforward language actually made them easier reading than other things.

Young ‘uns: this stuff happened once a week during Obama’s presidency. Dijon mustard. Moving a bust of Churchill. Inviting a rapper to the White House. Putting his feet up on his desk. They’d scream and cry for days about how effete and snobby and Black he was and how misinderstood they were.

I know there's a lot going on but I feel it should probably be more of an above-the-fold story that members of Congress released a thoroughly documented report directly accusing the president of the United States of being a serial rapist.

RFK talks about autistic and Arabic people the exact same way. He assumes they are not capable of ordinary or extraordinary achievements because of who they are. He considers them sub-human because they are not like him. This makes it plain that his is a white supremacist eugenicist project.

RFK: "There's five hundred million Arabs in the world. And yet they don't produce science. They don't win the Nobel Prize. They don't win the Fields Prize. They don't win the Wolf Prize. They don't produce literature."

"Even if everybody who voted Green had heeded Eby’s warnings on the campaign trail about vote-splitting and voted NDP instead, the Conservatives would still have won a majority government with a nine-seat margin." @macleodandrew.bsky.social writes. #BCPoli thetyee.ca/News/2026/10...

I like that he seems to walk the line here of being clinical and not demeaning about what those tests are for, but about Trump's bragging and egotistical misreading of what those tests are for.

The Bulwark@thebulwark.com

El-Sayed on Trump's cognitive tests: "I went to medical school...In my neurology unit, I would have to give that MoCA exam...The only people that you give a MoCA test to are people who you worry may have cognitive deficits. By definition, if you're taking one of those tests, something's wrong."

I missed the "it's not his fault he's stupid" part the first time, but I don't think he's using that as a slur. we shouldn't have a president who is cognitively impaired in the particular ways Trump is. I would be a poor fit because my brain gets dumb sometimes and a president has to be always on.

POTS comes with dynamic cognitive disabilities due to cerebral hypoperfusion (enough blood to the brain that I don't pass out, not enough to run optimally). sometimes I'm dumb and I can't remember my password or answer a question. sometimes I'm really smart.

I am not sure they even know about other faith leaders? except maybe the Archbishop of Canterbury, but she's a woman, so. . .

The AI bro obsession with the pope is really, truly fascinating and bonkers. They are hounding him for approval (as near as I can tell, they are not doing this with any other faith leaders) If not this pope, a pope. It’s inevitable, Mr. Pope, how many models are you running?
