Hands down, accessibility and accommodation for disability are better. ADA in 1990 was the first big step and inclusive design is becoming more and more popular.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

Your occasional reminder that polls don't mean shit, you have to show up and vote, preferably early and in person if you can

Storytelling is one of the last sacred things in the world. That’s why they mock it, because they know what it can do. They know that stories teach people how to listen, remember, resist and remain human. And anything that teaches people how to feel is a threat to a world built on forgetting.

Today is Indigenous Peoples’ Day. 💚 The places we love and fight to protect are Indigenous homelands long before they became national parks. Those connections are still very much alive.

Born too late to explore the ends of the earth, born too soon to explore the edges of the solar system, born just in time to be bombarded with gambling and Liberty Biberty ads every ten seconds 🙄🙄

🧡 #WorldMentalHealthDay Everyone has a story, and some chapters are harder than others. You don’t need to fix everything. Sometimes just listening, showing kindness and reminding someone they matter can mean the world. Be gentle with yourself and others. Love, George 🐈❤️

Being read to and encouraged to read was one of the greatest gifts my parents ever gave me. My parents never put any barriers on their own library, bought us book lights so we could read in the car, and pretended they didn’t notice when I’d be up past bedtime reading under the sheets.

Do we really need to explain to people that it is really, REALLY important to read to young children? Like, you, personally, need to read to your child - your voice, your face, your hand gestures, your lap, your arms, your closeness. What kind of parent doesn't know this in their bones?

I’m on a flight next to a guy who is listening to Seinfeld with no headphones and all I hear is the laughtrack and the worst bass noises of all time every 15 seconds and all I can think about is this.

This is my rescued cat. She's helped keep me marching onward in these uncertain times. If you need a new best friend, he or she is probably waiting at your local shelter. Pro tip: give the shy cats a chance. #Caturday #Catsky 🐈‍⬛

Good morning & welcome to #Caturday Whatever this week has brought you, you made it to today. So be a little kinder to yourself. Take your time. Notice the good things, however small they might be. You don’t have to make today extraordinary.

Absolutely 💯 Agree…. If feeding a hungry kid accidentally benefits an "undeserving" kid, I am prepared to live with this devastating outcome.

The library isn't your mommy or daddy. Nobody is forcing you to check out any books. Nobody is forcing you to read any books. If you don't like a book, don't read it. If you don't want your kids reading the book, grow up, be a parent, and choose a different book.
