Your occasional reminder that polls don't mean shit, you have to show up and vote, preferably early and in person if you can

Completely agree. We all want to see encouraging polls, but whether they are good or bad we need to actually vote to make our voices heard.

Polls and their results are bought by people to create a narrative that suits their political aims. They should all carry a warning along the lines of: - Believe this and you’ll believe anything!

And for those voting early, if you possibly can, TAKE IT to the county elections office or at least to a ballot drop box. Don't trust the post office to get your ballot there, and in time.

Candidate who lost 2 to 1 in the (D) primary for state senate is still actively campaigning, to split the vote and elect the republican candidate. Plus hit piece brochures claiming to be from Klobuchar touting she's "a cops' best friend" to lower turnout. Dirty tricks are out in full force.

A few elections ago someone asked me if I always voted early and I said of course, because then the secretary of the state updates the database and I stop getting calls from get out the vote operations. They looked at me like I was a wizard

I pretty much always vote earlier than my husband. This past primary I got a "we see you voted early but a registered voter in your household hasn't, encourage them to do so!!" text 😭

I'm a blue dot in a deep red state, but I still vote. My absentee ballot has been received and accepted, according to the state web site.

My early voting site always has long lines. I get a mail-in ballot and skip the line to put it into the drop box at the early voting site. That way I avoid any hanky-panky that Trump may be cooking up with the USPS.

Watching the mail for our ballots and planning to fill them out and immediately get them into the state ballot drop box instead of USPS. The state says they've been sent. Fingers crossed it doesn't go sideways.

REMINDER: The Electoral College turns a 150M-voter system into 538 votes. You only need 270 to win, which can be reached through just 12 state certifications. Those 12 choke points are the game theory of rigging. Trump: "It's only because they rigged the election that I'll be your president…"

take the amount of undeserved communist funds that Trump lost skunk works for nuclear missiles That's a range of the amount of funds that taking the presidential office for manipulation is worth so you have to figure what you're investment cost's to make that happen

You can still Make a ritual of taking your ballot to a cool Dropbox, such as the one in Pioneer Courthouse Square (Portland’s Living Room) and savor the experience with others.

Going to the county elections office has never appealed to me, when there are so many other nice options. I can walk to a Dropbox nearby in 18 minutes, or ride TRIMET downtown to the Square and have fun down there.

I vote on Election Day in person because stupid PA GOP won’t allow mail-in votes to start being counted until polls open. So mail-in takes days to count. No early in-person here.

Just dropped off my absentee ballot. I’ll be working the absentee counting board on Election Day, so I have to do it early. I’ve been at township hall several times this week, and there have always been people dropping their ballots off or voting early. This is a community of about 10,000 folks.

I will say one thing in their favour: it encourages blue folk in deep red districts to vote. Your vote might mean more than just a loss that's one vote less overwhelming; there might be a win in it for you. Or if not a win, then a breaking of narratives. DO IT! 8-)

If the oil pricks want to pick our politicians then let the working class cast their ballots at their pumps. Or is that not secure for the transfer of so much personal information?
