Looks like the cold front is finally coming to Minneapolis and St Paul, but hopefully you enjoyed a summer like day! You can see the cold front on radar - the line there is a wind shift. Expect a slight storm chance soon, and also around 5pm or 6pm.

Late afternoon showers seem likely today in Minneapolis, with timing likely 3-4pm. It'll be this line seen on radar in SW Minnesota.

The choice this November is clear.

According to Henn Cty Sheriff there they had followed a stolen car with youth smashing windows by helicopter and stopped them here. According to bystanders there was an ICE vehicle with some youth inside. I saw none of this myself so interpret what you will. Thanks to whistles for drawing me in.

Something happening with county and feds on Nicollet between 26th and 27th.

The closest I’ve come to death in Minneapolis was a right-on-red driver turning into me on the two-way at Stinson & East Hennepin. My bike hit her front quarter-panel and I barrel-rolled over her windshield. I was lucky with only a concussion. This directive can’t be acted upon fast enough.

At 7am in Mendota Heights the grass on the soccer field next store was covered with crunchy frost.

Frost at our farm in Stanton Township. It’s the end of the garden season.

Near Lake Hiawatha frost on the ground and roofs.

Just north of St Mary’s Cemetery, we had frost on the car roof and a very thin layer of ice on the dog’s outside water dish.

Same in SW Mpls. Didn't seem like the garden veg got much frost after all.

Prospect Park was mostly clear of frost, but I saw some frosty grass along the Short Line rail right of way.

What's everyone's frost or freeze report? We seemed to not frost in South Minneapolis at our house - airport was at 38° at 7am, but I hear Eden Prairie Airport was 31!

Almost forgot, cover or pick your tender vegetation tonight - even in Minneapolis or St. Paul. I am guessing/gambling it'll mostly be a frost in city limits vs. a freeze, but be cautious in that gamble. Dewpoint is below 30 degrees + calm winds could equal trouble for gardens.

This year, federal agents terrorized our streets, killed our neighbors, and detained our children. Minnesotans were changed forever. Michele Tafoya thinks ICE treats kids “really well.” I think ICE should be ripped apart and replaced by a system grounded in dignity and due process.
