I was scrolling here and ran across several posts that seemed unusually engaging well-thought-out. It was then that I realized I was on BlueSky instead of Threads.

Vivek Ramaswamy seeks to take political advantage of the fact that his opponent was raped as a child. But to his credit, unlike many other Republican politicians, he was not personally the rapist in question.

NEW TROY JACKSON AD 🔥 Susan Collins spent years perfecting that “reasonable moderate” act. Then ProPublica dropped the receipts: A defense contractor funneled $150,000 through a shell company to a pro-Collins super PAC while Collins pushed for $32 MILLION in naval contracts.

The taste of power, fear of change, and - as much as you don't want to hear it - a Democratic Party steered in public too much by college-educated activists who cannot accept that America is a center-right country, which made winning easier than it should have been for the GOP.

All of Elon Musk’s businesses would be bankrupt and shuttered without government handouts. Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” on the other hand, is a phenomenal success. Cry more, you obnoxious white supremacist dork. (And, PLEASE, like you ever read Homer . . .)

He fell asleep in a meeting with Turkish President Erdogan, referred to Iran as the "Islamic Republic of Japan", TikTok as "Tic Tac", President Zelensky as "President Putin" & once again demanded the U.S. be given control of Greenland. He's much less dangerous while sleeping than when he's awake. 💤

"The Americans can't get the slime out of their capital's monument pool and will arrest you for touching it," sounds like the sort of lie they'd tell us in the Soviet Union so we'd stop bitching about bread lines.

Elon Musk’s DOGE cut the federal government’s screwworm monitoring program, which cost $15 million. Now, the Trump administration is preparing to spend $1 billion to combat the screwworm outbreak. Never forget how destructive and downright stupid DOGE was.

As the government raids “antifa groups” in Minneapolis with the SAME charges levied against myself and the rest of the Broadview Six, we need to be asking how they got this indictment. And as charges (hopefully) get dropped, we must remember the process is the punishment.

Holy shit. The government is conceding it willl pay some amount of fees to the Broadview Six. They are DESPERATE to stop further inquiry into the case. Never heard of such a thing.

New filings from the "Broadview Six" defense attorneys tonight. The first reveals the feds decided to "not contest that defendants are entitled to their legal fees," though they have "not yet committed to the amount of legal fees" they will pay. Full filing: cst.brightspotcdn.com/0c/07/4afee6...

Ken Paxton’s own party impeached him. His own staff reported him to the FBI. Now his own defense attorney is endorsing our campaign. Those closest to Ken Paxton know he's unfit for office.

If you credulously do a segment about the vote in California in which you don’t say the president is lying, you’re spreading disinformation to your listeners.

Yes. Barring him forever is the way to go. Also: putting him on trial for his obvious corruption is the way to go. Also: if (as is likely) fair trials find him guilty, him rotting in jail is the way to go.

Making this proposal even more questionable is that it is to apply retroactively, thus barring former PM Viktor Orbán from ever returning to the seat. Of course, Orbán won his victories in elections that were free but not fair. But is barring him forever the way to go? 3/

crazy that under the precedent set by callais, a lily-white congressional delegation formed by "partisan" gerrymandering in a plurality black state passes constitutional muster, while any majority-minority district is constitutionally suspect

I'm gonna say your conduct should not be under seal if the court had to (1) run reenactment experiments on whether sex could be heard from different locations in the office, and (2) do forensic investigation of a couch cushion

Watching a series of former Confederate states rush to eliminate any vestige of black representation in the House pretty much answers the question whether the Voting Rights Act was still necessary.

Another reminder: if there exists *any* class of people who don't have due process rights, then *nobody* actually has due process rights because the government can always just say you're in that class.

This is the part getting almost no coverage: to rebuild what we burned in Iran, we need critical minerals. Minerals that China controls. The war in Iran costs more than lives and dollars, it’s handing Beijing leverage over our recovery. Full deep-dive on this at the link in my reply.

If your byline sits atop a think-piece this morning about how Donald Trump is still a powerful political monolith because he can get GOP voters in deep red districts to heed his endorsement in primary contests, you need to go find an actual journalist and let him use you to wipe his ass clean.
