Bob Rubin has *forgotten* more about markets than Lawler will ever know bsky.app/profile/carl...

BOB RUBIN: “.. markets and the economy seem largely inured to the chaos, leading some to conclude that Trump’s policies have not resulted in the serious economic damage many predicted. I disagree. “.. enormous damage has been done ..” @financialtimes.com www.ft.com/content/d95c...

Stick with the stock market maga, now that you cut healthcare and food assistance the trailer park maga's are all in the stock market. So dam dum. Withheld the n and b so maga would understand. Learning their lexicon.

Whose income is increasing? My hourly pay has not changed for 3 years. If wages kept up with inflation the minimum wage has been estimated to be between $22 and $26, which means I’m effectively being paid less than minimum wage. Yay America 🙄

Yes because American workers are heavily invested in the Stock Market. They use their profits from the stock market to pay their bills and feed their families

Like Trump, Lawler believes the stock market is an indicator of how the economy is doing. He should be asked how many of the Americans who disapprove of Trump have stock market portfolios The truth: Trump doesn’t think about the financial situation of the American people ~ “Not one little bit”.

I'm about to buy groceries, so I looked at my huge stock portfolio to see how much steak, caviar and lobster I can buy this week. JK I looked at the bills due this week and my bank balance and decided eating is overrated.

Yeahhh... Stock market is the oracle.... Last 2months Trump:" i will bomb Iran" -2% Trump:" i have a deal with Iran" +4% Trump:" i will bomb Iran" -2% Trump:" i have a deal with Iran" +4% Trump:" i will bomb Iran" -2% Trump:" i have a deal with Iran" +4% ..........

Not one thing Lawler said was true, honest, or grounded in reality. Just more Trump loyalty theater and recycled propaganda. Republicans have become experts at defending failure while offering absolutely nothing that improves life for everyday Americans.

Trump & his cronies are doing great in the stock market because in everything, they are cheating, breaking laws, and Dems are—crickets! There are laws—Trump should be arrested—but wait!—he has the Klu Klux Kourt (bunch of them also cheating, lying, breaking the laws) so…EPSTEIN FILES PLEASE!!!

He’s my rep in Congress unfortunately and he is a suck up to the orange buffoon. Totally out of touch with his constituency Glad I wasn’t there in NY 17 yesterday for the fiasco

Look, the tendency to use the stock market as a proxy for the US economy as a whole is a longstanding one and it's long been a story of perverse incentives I remember in the 90s and aughts, when a company engaged in mass layoffs, this often made the stock go *up* in price [...]

What the company was demonstrating to investors in that moment was not that it was failing its stakeholders, but rather that through pursuing market efficiencies it was benefitting its shareholders This soon began to be the only measure of whether a company was healthy or not [...]

Straight up, things are fine for me right now. I’m making more money in the stock market than I’m losing on gas. But I’m not the average person. And people like me are going to be okay in most circumstances. Shouldn’t we be more concerned with the folks who won’t?

Some stock market analysts believe that the magnificient seven bubble distorts the stock market outlook. Leaving those out and no more record highs. And how much does those stock market highs correlate on the outlook for average paycheck-to-paycheck American. I assume not very much.

"Hey, the rich are doing great, and as that's all that matters, screw everyone else!" I wonder if they understand that's what folks like myself hear when they say stuff like that?

Stocks are a house of cards, the rich line their pockets with over inflated stocks and when it comes crashing down, the working class with their 401k gets fucked over.

The republicans cannot absolutely give one interview without mentioning the name of President Biden! Cannot say anything positive about themselves so the word is Biden! Should be a republican drinking game!!! We'd all leave stoned!!!

First off, the stock market is being held up by an AI bubble. Second, last I checked the average American doesn't give 2 💩s about the stock market. They care about how much gas costs so they can get to work & food costs so they can put food on their table. F all of these out of touch douchbags

ME: The grass in my yard is tall, but my lawnmower is broken and I can't afford to fix it or buy a new one before November. MIKE LAWLER: Look, there are some really positive indicators. The stock market continues to hit record highs.

Well, that'll make his rich mates even richer. Woo hoo. Now what the vast majority of American's who do not own stocks or shares? 'I don't think about them...'

Glad scumbag Republican Mike Lawler is reminding his #NY17 voters he's one of Mobster Trump's sycophants & will work to help Mobster Trump get his golden ballroom, while his constituents can't afford gas, food or health care right now. Keep it up Mike Lawler! #2026Elections #2026Midterms

Do mere mortals give a flying fuck about the stock market.. when they are watching their hard earnt dollars disappear just to eat and gas their cars?

Take home pay isn’t “up.” Gas prices are up ~50%. Food prices up, insurance premiums up, if u can even access it. Rent, electricity, water.. all increased. Meanwhile, attacks on women’s rights, including forced birth continue. Immigrant families r assaulted, AFRAID to get groceries. GTFO, Mike

Yep. The economy is great for billionaires. And this administration does not care about the rest of us. We don't matter. In fact, they'd be happy if we all just suffered and died.

Yup, except then there would be no economy in the US. The US is a consumer driven economy. No people, no economy. That's what gets me about AI and robotics. Replace the workers and there will be very little profits.

Why do you think they're hoarding all of the wealth now? At this point, they've got enough money to last them 100 more lifetimes. They're well aware that what they have planned will plunge this country into an economic collapse. But only for the "less than"

Republicans are making the same mistake made by the Biden administration going into 2024 election. They told us the economy was great. That the stock market was up. But that’s not what Americans were feeling. The same applies today with Trump.

The stock market is a dozen tech companies pushing a few trillion dollars around to each other. It's only an economic indicator for the Epstein class.

Magical thinking from MAGA Mike. The stock market isn't the economy, but both are going to get worse, because the AI bubble will burst, and Trump is a moronic megalomaniac.

He speaks like ALL Americans own stocks. 🤨 "When politicians or news outlets talk about “the stock market,” it does affect many Americans indirectly through retirement savings — but gains are heavily concentrated among higher-income households" ---ChatGPT

Stocks vs. bonds BCA Research: “The stock and bond markets are on a collision course. And bonds may win.” Morgan Stanley: “It’s a real problem. When we started this year, everybody expected rates to come down — that was part of the bull case. Now, it looks like we’re going to see a rate hike.”

When will Dems and Independents stop harping on Trump’s low approval ratings, because Republicans don’t give a FUCK about ratings, their legacies and anything regarding the past! All they care about is WALL STREET and its contributors! Can we focus on messaging and the pursuit of every vote! 🖕🏿Polls

The Dem response needs to be "record highs due to profits from price gouging American consumers" Why are big oil, big tech, health care, etc profits through the roof? They are absolutely rinsing the American people.

Isn’t it outstanding how well the stock market is doing? Too bad we regular folks don’t have big portfolios nor large investments to be in the stock market. Sad part about investing, we lose money while the administration and corporations make money. Where’s their reality?
