I haven’t slept a full night in three weeks ahead of the polls opening in Brazil today. I might be shouting into a void here, but if you can spare a few seconds to send good energy towards our elections today and for the largest country in South America to beat fascism, please do so. 🇧🇷

My almost-four year old just came up to me in bed (I'm currently sick) and showed me two gummy worms: "Would these treats make you better?" 🥹 I said "Yes, please! Just one" and he proceeded to shove both in his mouth.

the thing about gen-ai in general is that if it was really useful, they'd keep it for themselves and not try to shove it down out throats all the time.

The video advertising Unity's ew AI-driven autocomplete game maker has 'Mari' who has a game idea they "always wanted to make" and that idea is "Space Corridor" and it looks like this, and that's the strongest argument I can think of for keeping game dev out of the pro-AI crowd's hands.

hey all, just a heads up to my artist peers- this is all AI slop, I would avoid this. It isn't adobe code, it's just vibecoded to emulate their features.

Holy shit. Someone has decompiled the Adobe suite, rebuilt it in Rust and released it as open source. Either all software is dead or the US copyright laws are about to receive an update. getartcraft.com/apps

So with the news of the layoffs at KO_OP, I'm officially looking for work later this fall. I'm an experienced narrative designer that's worked on both sprawling open world stories and intimate cinematic narratives, even netting some award wins and noms. More details on my experience below!

I know creatives who have used a lot of AI in their process but still make posts on social media boasting about not using AI, so after seeing what Astra 6 can do I just started feeling this profound sadness about the future of enjoying human games, especially with my son. How will we know?

If folks already don't disclose it + lie about it, and it's only getting worse, my fear is that we won't be able to tell at all anymore. And then, for creators who take pride on actually NOT using this garbage, people will either not believe them, or simply not care.

Two backgrounds from the Pepperbee project. I try to teach myself not to make such finished art early on in a concept... I just don't enjoy working with temporary assets. #pixelart

Every conversation about bike lanes is like: "Car crashes kill a huge number of people every day, including pedestrians, cyclists, & car occupants. Good bike infrastructure has been shown to make everyone safer (& doesn't increase congestion)." "But sometimes cyclists break rules & hit people!"

Lots of excitement about the squeaky beach sounds in Big Walk! You'll all be happy to know it's the real thing! Was absolutely giddy to get to record them on an actual Australian squeaky beach in Wilson's Promontory. Yes, if you didn't know some beaches there really do squeak. It is pure joy.
