In the last year, No More Robots has funded + is currently funding a dozen games, and has paid numerous devs to make prototypes happen for free
But obviously, getting press is absolutely impossible for us, because only doom and gloom gets clicks
Plushie I made for my son - Agent Black from the game Iconoclasts by @konjak.org. Son said it was inaccurate! I was quite pleased with her, anway. Her jacket comes off to reveal her second look.
Anybody else obsessed with unnerving art and art styles because your mind can't look away imagining what being placed in such a nonsense world would feel like? It would be total fear but it is also total fascination of what rules that universe would have
Soviet animation, Frank comics and Beksinski
Unfortunately, an obsessive mind like mine also makes me spiral about negative events to me or loved ones, but hey, the other side means *INSPIRATION*!
I think it started with video games hinting at areas out of bounds. Zombies ate my Neighbors showed just a little past a brick wall you couldn't pass, and early Nintendo 64 games with their skyboxes.
Since a bunch of people are doing cosplays (or costumes i guess) of their favorite characters I might as well join in.
And my choice is Robin from Iconoclasts. I've done this one before but I think my second attempt at her is way closer. Still no wrench hair..

To all the Moonglow Bay players and fans: thank you so much, and we are sorry we couldn't do anything special this 5th anniversary - we are kinda locked out of our own game, and it has been gutting me for a while...
More Pepperbee project shit~
I love this guy, very happy with the animations. Here is a test of this boss' "weak state". He otherwise blocks you.

I obsessively need to make a word I elongate conform to if the vowels were doubled.
If I elongate "book" like "booook" I have to make it an even amount of vowels. If it was "sock" it has to be uneven. My brain must communicate the original spelling somehow.
I dreamt that Mario Paint on Switch had a secret 3D art mode if you zoomed out enough (somehow), and @snakepixel.art saw me do it and got really excited
Other music makers: Do you have a melody in your mind since as long as you can recall that you never put to use, because you feel it surely must be a melody you heard in the past but forgot where it's from? I want to use one each project but worry it must be from something.
What could lead to a big death of indies is how we now have to make games with a "soup" of uniqueness that AI will trip on a few aspects, whereas the truly creative single-concept games are far too easy for an AI to just spit out a copy of.
Think making Super Mario World vs Tetris.
Rather than adding wifi to everything, we should figure out more ways to make things work without power in homes, like toilets and showers, and landline phones used to be a different grid
Another Pepperbee room concept. I am very happy with its idea, and once it can be realized, you'll see π€«
Also the best wood rendering I ever did with pixels. The background will have elements to make the lighting less flat, this is just the raw art.

Hey folks, added Car Park Capital to my Steam Curator, an absurd and brilliant satire of car culture with a nice isometric artstyle, feels like the kind of game Bullfrog would've made at their peak, jammed somewhere between Theme Hospital and Dungeon Keeper, except you play even more of a villain.
This town is big enough that it should have more than one major movie theater. That should be considered monopoly.
Can't watch You Can See Everything here, but at least we can still watch Spider-Man and Odyssey.

Extremely curious to see how badly BlueSky will butcher the quality of this video ...
If you followed me on The Evil Site back in ye olden, you might recognize this as my long-running, never-finished forever-project Myriad. A recent, unplanned bout of unemployment made me pick it up again.
Enjoy!
Joining a train of self-flagellation monks walking through downtown but instead of whipping ourselves with cat-o-nine-tails we're watching modern home reno shows destroying beautiful homes
