In 2012, I went to a screening of The Wrath of Kahn and Q&A with Walter Koenig to celebrate his Walk of Fame star. He talked about the illegal scams he ran to fund his early acting days in NYC. Like staging an accident at a building under construction. Way past the statute of limitations, he said.

My heart is heavy. Walter Koenig, our Ensign Pavel Chekov, passed away early today. Walter and I met on the bridge of the Enterprise in the 1960s, and we stayed friends for nearly six decades. When Brad and I married in 2008, Walter stood beside us as our best man.

I'm a big fan of Scranton PA's own Cynthia Rothrock. Even when a movie she's in is dumb, she shines. And I think I came up with a good description of her default character: she's Bruce Lee crossed with Cindy Lauper.

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.
