Not a particularly good photo. You can’t see it frame, but part of this moment was a pair ladies who saw noticed me with my shot, looked left and exclaimed “oh my God.” Happy they got a little beauty on their evening walk.

The closest experience to flying in a rocket ship? Sitting in the back of a 2nd gen Prius at 0430 piloted by a taxi driver trying to end his shift.

To-do list for SD Mayor Pete and DSD Uncle Frank (and the transition team): - at 1201 rip down the stupid fucking sign, regardless of whether Congress has officially changed the name (not looking good for the 27 NDAA lol) - at 1202 issue orders to rename all the confederate bases back*

This is so awesome. My best Halloweens in adulthood were on Ramstein AB where they'd do this very thing for the community. Cities need to make it easier for neighbors to temporarily shut down their streets to traffic.

For all the angst over high gas prices, Americans are buying surprisingly few electric cars, Andrew Moseman writes. He explores what it will take for drivers to actually embrace EVs.

Wife stumbled upon a lowrider group at the Museum of Man. When we got married there, we had Mariachi march us to the reception. I kinda wish we had lowriders too.

Panhard Paul's Autumn Tour. An eclectic bunch with one thing in common- we drive our cars. (shout out to owner of the 13k mile 993 turbo truly living it)

It’s funny that “my guy” is debilitating and withering and almost impossible to recover from while “my man” is life affirming and filled with support and respect

You know what’s super sexy about this space? You can SEE room acoustics were considered.

The new East County library is gorgeous

My greatest wish? That the groups I want to interact with stop using FB for routine organization and info sharing. Set up a forum and I'll visit you directly.

Military leaders becoming amplifiers of obviously false politically-motivated messages is a norm breaking danger sign.

Yikes. In a desperate-sounding video, CENTCOM Commander Adm. Brad Cooper insists the Strait of Hormuz is “controlled by the United States… not Iran” and “open for business,” despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary.

🚨 LA City Controller Kenneth Mejia has subpoenaed LA28. The organizing committee has 15 days to hand over key financial data: “LA28’s refusal to comply with my Office's request after years of withholding information that they are contractually obligated to provide to the City of LA is unacceptable"

Controller Kenneth Mejia making good on his promise to at least attempt to get LA28 to open up its books. "Today's data request is part of the Controller's robust financial oversight process to force visibility into the spending, commitments, and assumptions built into the Olympic Games budget"
