omg, I just got an email from my agent that my children's book hit its advance earn back after the first year of sales, so I actually get royalties and a bonus now! i never expected to make any money off of it after my advance, but it's so cool that like 10,000 copies are just out there!

What company do you use that let's you read your e-mail? Google refuses unless I sacrifice a goat, chicken and walrus to Cthulu. Is it Proton? God I hope it is Proton cuz I have been migrating that way for a minute.

Congrats! I wrote a children's book when I was in elementary school. It was a homework assignment that they liked so they had an artist draw up the characters and had it published. I signed the rights off to the school and never heard about it again. I peaked very young 😂

Huzzah for 10,000 books! It's easy to imagine that means 30,000 to 50,000 readers over the life of the book, and most of them will enjoy it. Wonderful!
