FilmSnobbery - Nic LaRue

Growing up I always thought the expression was "end scene" instead of "and scene". Like a fuckin' idiot.

Embrace the night. Support a good cause. The complete V5 collection, built for cinematic play on Alchemy, is live on Humble Bundle. Proceeds benefit Child's Play, which brings games to children in hospitals and domestic violence shelters. Your coterie waits. www.humblebundle.com/software/vam...

Having a day (that's lasted more than 48 hours).

Fun fact about UWOTC-CWA: Everyone who supports our cause has banding. You can (and up to one other creature without banding) can join us by signing our petition. actionnetwork.org/forms/uwotcp...

Huge difference in response to a comment on here than on Instagram. Here, if I asked if someone used AI art in their game I probably might get a couple comments. There, 75 likes and over 20 comments, almost all negative. Insta is a garbage app.

Thank you Written By magazine for this amazing article about our talk on IP at the @WGAWest ! Thanks also to the Middle Eastern and North African Writers Committee for inviting us! Also, I kind of love illustrated Dan + @BenjiSamit! www.writtenby.com/written-by/c...

I like it when I see posts of trans people expressing gender euphoria and seeing happy people in general. It makes my day, especially when I'm feeling down. It's great that there's still joy out there. We're all just trying our best out here. Even the boring straight whites like myself...lol.

All of these "we're going to open accounts for kids" or "we're going to give each kid a share of stock" are all fraud schemes to keep tech or fintech stocks from crashing. They know the bubble is about to burst, so they're preying on children (which they always do).

Mid-terms are done. I think I did okay. Now I want to collapse for the rest of the day, but I've got adulting to do.

* PLEASE SHARE* Thank you to everyone who has donated to our Gofundme to help us celebrate 500 episodes of Horror Movie Survival Guide at the Mayfair Theatre! www.gofundme.com/f/help-celeb... We are 77% funded - so close! Please help this indie show celebrate nearly a decade of shows! ❤️

I watched the new Carrie and I respect the changes that @mikeflanaganfilm.com and co made to the story to make it stand out from the source material and update it for modern audiences. I really enjoyed it.

Hey all my fellow autistics...was the delegation aware of this?

Tonight at 6pm PT / 9pm ET we continue our charity month with Actual Cannibal Shia Labeouf: Hollow Spirits! Somewhere beyond the walls of masks and costumes, in a place where even the animatronic eyes dare not gaze, something dark lurks in this Spirit Halloween… Live on twitch.tv/sword_and_key

The SPEAKER implies. The LISTENER infers. The DUDE abides.

Sick.

I know I don't post super often. So here's proof of life from an event I went to last night with @malindalo.bsky.social and Michelle Cusolito. We were celebrating the passage of our Freedom to Read bill in the State House in August.

Today is technically the last day I’m pushing for this fundraiser and we’re still a couple hundred away from the $10K mark (not holding my breath on reaching the overall goal). Help me bring the joy of movies to kids in need! gofund.me/904f0391a

Root canal completed.

Please share & repost (and donate if you can!) We are celebrating 500 episodes of our with a trip to podcast & program at the @mayfairtheatre.bsky.social! We are a completely independent show, with no ads or sponsors, so please help us fund this celebration! www.gofundme.com/f/help-celeb...

More writing this morning. Another 1k words down and some research done. Going to get a root canal later today...Boo.

Got another 1k words done this morning. Trying to make the most of this storm outside by getting more done inside.

Ground ribeye steaks for burgers for the first time yesterday. That was easier than I expected, and they were pretty good. Also, more yield for 2 steaks than a lb of store ground beef (6 patties vs 4).

Kids deserve the big screen experience! Help me bring it to them: gofund.me/5f44cdfae
