Nice :) What about Hranice Abyss - the deepest flooded pit cave in the world: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hranice...
Where's the hole-in-the-bottom-of-the-sea? www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1Qn...
Snolab.ca Neutrino observatory within Creighton Mine near Sudbury Ontario.
I don’t know if I do or not…now I’m curious. Hey @thesarawithanh.bsky.social! You would know if I do or not!
That's awesome thanks a lot! But you forgot us 😭 at the BedrettoLab (eos.org/editor-highl...). We are 1485 m above sea level, 0 to 1.5 km overburdened below Pizzo Rotondo (Switzerland)...
This is fab. The only UK entry is a thing I had never heard of and was fascinating ( see www.mybrightonandhove.org.uk/places/utili... ). We also have the second-deepest mine in Europe at 1400m ( www.icl-uk.uk/how-deep-is-... ) but it is a long way down the world list.
@xkcd.com, thank you for all you do. This is a particularly delightful piece. You are a beautiful human.
www.unilad.com/news/world-n... Its no where as deep as these other holes, but I always think about this one.

I have a thread for this!
Take a minute to really absorb the scale of what you're seeing. This is 'Cueva de los Cristales', the Cave of the Crystals, near the city of Naica in the Mexican state of Chihuahua. The crystals are selenite, a type of gypsum. They formed over the last 1 million years. (📷: Javier Trueba, MSF)
