I followed this ADHD hack where they suggest putting things in containers when you are too overwhelmed and need to clean up the house quick Now I have about 10 containers that I need to go through that I collected over the year 😂😭

I say this to myself about 30 times a day: Don’t put it down, put it away Game changer. Took a long time to make that mantra stick tho

Growing up with an uncle who was blind it’s absolutely ingrained in me not to leave things on the floor (or cupboard doors open, or chairs out, or things to close to the edge of tables). So clutter makes me innately anxious

*looks around at his many as-yet-unsorted ADHD doom boxes* 😅 Definitely great for quickly decluttering! I've got some that are years old at this point tho 🤣

I want to write a cross-over between Lost and Toy Story where the toys are in purgatory because they got put in a storage box and forgot about because ADHD, which would have been mostly avoidable if the box was transparent and you could actually see the contents.

We call these “black holes” or “doom boxes” at our house. After a certain amount of time, I might throw one away/donate. It’s like having junk drawers all over the house.

I pile things up in places I can't ignore them so that I have to do the thing to get rid of them. I don't do the thing. The piles are very much in the way but just remain there, getting taller...

My wife and son both have ADHD and the amount of bins and containers we have is something I discuss in therapy regularly. It has helped with the conflict in our house though 😅

Well this quest was kinda unsuccessful. The whole reason I started to go through them was to find my pulse oximeter. Haven't found it but I cleaned up several rooms though 😂
