Obsessed with this movie as a kid!

This still sets the standard for "super advanced spaceship" to me. It's how I pictured some of the ships in Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. I feel like current VFX would lead to textures and greebling in the name of scale and visual interest, but that's not the right choice for a ship like this.

Your goal in life should be to create something that inspires someone else to do this kind of beautiful tribute 35 years later. If you release it this year, it will happen by 2061! if you wait a bit, Vulcans could even watch it.
