Bless that man. I still remember how the hunger strike made the front page of the Boston Globe for a long time and Bobby Sands is the bright smile that haunts me still.

A lot un said. Like all the lynching's Irish people did to black people, the riot, becoming openly violent to back people, organized crime.

Not wild about contrasting "what we now know as Ireland" with "a British warlord". If you're going to be that particular about Ireland, then equally, it's not "a British warlord", it's "the Pictish king of Strathclyde." Using "British" is a choice, and not a good one.

ME: oh a little Zohran video for St Patrick's Day, probably just celebrating Irish culture, maybe a few green beer jokes ZOHRAN (2 minutes in): ...and that's why King Leopold I of Belgium is a big wet bitch. Furthermore...

I mean he WAS the most evil man of the 19th century. Which is SAYING SOMETHING PRETTY SERIOUS. Even the rest of the European powers said "FUCK, Leo, knock it off, you're making US look bad." They made Belgium take over Congo from him (it was his personal property) in 1908. He was pure evil.
