Amazing. I'm legitimately trying to remember the last time I had steak. I think it was when someone else served it to me. While that rich people think we're eating steak all the time

Did the WSJ article (from a year ago) discuss the dominance of the egg industry by Cal-Maine Food, which owns the Farmhouse Eggs, Sunups, Sunny Meadow, Egg-Land’s Best and Land O’ Lakes brands? Among others? Did it mention the company's record profits?

I like how the body of the article is about how like eggs and bacon prices have gone up. Like if you can't eat a full cooked breakfast why not just starve? It's like something someone say to Louis XVI.

For what it's worth, no one needs to eat 3 meals a day. You've just been condition to think you do. 18:6 Intermittent Fasting does wonders for the body and it's not hard habit to adjust to at all.

It's also like, That's his best solution? Give up? This headline feels like it's written by a guy who only buys Starbucks for breakfast. There's probably some bored housewife on her lil' blog trying harder than this guy.

I had to look this up. Yes, they published this in 2023, a little less than a year ago, but they still had the gall to suggest that the average American should jeopardize their nutrition so the rent-seeking class could profit.

but consider: if everybody does this, Big Toast will lose money and need a huge federal bailout, costing more than anyone saved by going hungry

Thing is. In order to afford to live where I do, I've been skipping breakfast for like a year now. If we have to skip more food, it'll become a problem. Not just for our health; it'll disrupt the supply & demand of the food industry.
