In a written statement with a photo, Mitch McConnell says he was “briefly unconscious” after his fall last month but did not suffer a heart attack or stroke. He says he’s recovering in a rehabilitation center after developing pneumonia and won’t return to the Senate floor until doctors clear him.

My grandma fell and broke her hip, ribs, wrist, and ankle. She had so many bruises. Developed pneumonia and recovered. Then died shortly after. Old people fall all the time and their bodies show us that. He looks too well for his apparent condition.

Anyone seen the movie Weekend at Bernie's.? Anyone can put a newspaper in someone's dead hand and then photoshop his eyes open or have AI do it. News media or Democrat congress have not actually confirmed he is alive. We are only going by what republicans are saying. Which is stupid to do. .

Why is this “proof of life” photo the exact same picture ( with an updated newspaper for “proof”) as the widely circulated photo following his 2023 rib fracture following a fall? I am so surprised that they would stoop to this low level. It was easily found with an internet search.

I tried a reverse image search and found nothing. Not so sure it was widely circulated. If so, include a link to one of those. I'm sceptical of his condition but I imagine they used an image that hasn't been shared publicly and doctored it.

Got into a now-blocked convo with a guy named Tony Clark who it turns out is a ND GOP public utilities operative. Very worked up about the lack of links purporting to show when the proof of life photo had been published. The issue here is the refusal to prove he's alive. Just call Andy Beshear.

I think the photo is hinky. I don't say it's been published but I do say it looks older. And there is a lot at stake for the US. Given what they've demonstrated they're willing to do, I think lying about Mitch is completely plausible.

There is NO WAY he is wearing jeans and a button up in the ICU. Seriously, I have worked as a hospital unit coordinator,ER admissions staff , in the NICU with ICU moms, radiology transport, hospice, assisted living.this isn't an elderly man in an ICU that suffered a fall AND pneumonia THIS month.

His office released that picture, it was not taken by a reporter. I would assume either McConnell or his wife (as legal next of kin) authorized it. Just because someone lets one person into their room doesn’t mean they have to allow anyone or everyone in.

I call BS! You don’t go from CPR to rehab that quickly. There needs to be a reliable love witness to his state of being. Witnesses have said he was unconscious when taken out to the ambulance and we know he was non responsive as well. If this were a Democrat all hell would be breaking loose.
