And for the record, I'm not talking about using agents to configure/fix your system. That's probably the sanest thing on that list. "Heritage is duty"? "Command is service"? What the fuck. What's next, "Arbeit macht frei"?

I have a lot of issues with “Hold the line”. What is your issue with “Command is service”?

For me it's that "command" and "service" is quite military and grandiose, and they're also using it to mean "we have a BDFL" which doesn't really... explain the "service" part of it?

It means that the BDFL must be of service to the community.
