New Starter Pack brewing, exclusively for #gamedev that support #Linux directly. I've added a good few to start, but boosts and suggestions appreciated. If you're a dev replying, be sure to link your game(s). go.bsky.app/FEMywoR

Yes you’re right! It’s an unfortunate consequence since we rely on Vivox for the squads and voice chat system. I wonder if I can find a workaround using Photon Chat on Linux 🤔

I'm a linux dev but my project doesn't have a Steam or Itch page yet :( but I'm developing it on Arch Linux (btw) using Godot Engine 💙 Here's a picture of how it runs natively on a Steam Deck quite well ^w^

I develop exclusively in Linux, games and many other things. Some people try to sell me WSL2... which is better, but I don't see why I wouldn't use Linux natively instead, or at least OS X.

Hey, very nice list! If there is space could I be added? Currently working on Thysiastery with @@dirgagames.bsky.social store.steampowered.com/app/3140180/... I feel strongly for linux gaming and so naturally we are implementing native support for this game

store.steampowered.comTHYSIASTERY on SteamTHYSIASTERY is a dungeon crawler RPG featuring traditional roguelike and turn-based gameplay. Command a party of bearers of the Brand, drawn into a vast Labyrinth. Recruit while exploring the Labyrint...

Hi 👋! I’m Psycho, but I'm not really "psycho" 😅it's a name, I'm a YouTube content creator who loves gaming, reading, collecting and more 🤍 You can find me as @psychowrld across almost all socials and I love welcoming new people into my community so hi! BTW follow for follow back

I work for one of the larger publishers/devs, I won't name them. I'm trying to push towards "giving more 💩" about Linux and handheld gaming here. We'll see how far I can get before they fire me for being too annoying 😆 Wish I had anything to show heh. Maybe some day..

I have been working since 2011 on a 2D cross-platform game framework. Linux is a first class citizen for me as I'm developing it on Arch Linux using Qt Creator. 💪

I was doing game dev on Linux for while using Unreal Engine because at the time it was my system with the most horsepower. But Epic never really supported it very well. I had the first functioning version of the editor on Linux. I replaced STL with XWindow and viola! Epic didn't like that idea.

does this only include game developers who provide native Linux builds, or are you counting endorsing Proton as doing Linux? i assume the former but just double checking as i am very strong on native ports

Yeah, I don't know why they didn't keep Linux fully supported! I didn't even get anything except for the profiler GUI showing up out of upgrading so I'm definitely gonna revert to the version before when I release

Linux has always been the second most important platform for me to release for, because I want to switch to daily driving it one day. I still don't know what "native steam deck support" even means like why specifically steamdeck OS, that's feels like if they limited the forge to only windows 11

Hi, I'm developing a multiplayer automation game in the Bevy game engine. We're building it with Linux and Steam Deck support! Also developing a dedicated server binary that will run on Linux hosts. I'd love to be included in this pack and any others you think I'd be relevant for!

My game is open source, 100% developed on Linux and currently only runs on Linux too (I've been handwriting the platform backends and only X11/Wayland/PipeWire/PulseAudio are finished)
