Khanna: "The average American, they think that someone who puts rockets up into space, that's a pretty cool thing. And the Democratic Party has to get back to being a party that celebrates building, entrepreneurship, innovation, while at the same time holding people to account."

I love space exploration I refuse to let that brainwash me into thinking our future success depends on letting billionaires break rules and do whatever they want This is OUR country and constitution, we don't rent our rights or lives

Smart move to go all-in on billionaire worship before the Trump administration even takes office. Just fundamentally good politics. As we all know, Americans always love their presidents 100% or the time and there will be no blowback whatsoever.

You know who built things? The Biden administration. The Bipartisan Infrascture Law built 74,000 things-- bridges, roads, pipes, wifi. Not as sexy as a rocket ship, but benefits many more people.

Khanna is such a dope: I like Space becuz people like Space. No questioning of why are we not just subsidizing but direct funding a space race to nowhere. Investing less in a unproductive series of excursions (who's moving their businesses there?) & more in earthly productive enterprises is unasked.

What the fck is he talking about?! The success of Elmo and the other tech entrepreneurs is mostly, if not completely, due to policies championed by democrats. But Elmo, now that he made it, wants to eliminate those policies…

Dems just rebuilt our manufacturing base from basically scratch and you couldn’t figure out how to celebrate that and make it cool. But you fall for Elon’s vaporizer. And he’s not in your district anymore, is he?

It’s internalized classism— believing that everyone who is richer than you is smarter, hardworking, and more successful. This is what happens when we build a system where only trust fund babies succeed.

frankly it's too late. if media had done their job and hammered home ARP/IRA/CHIPS/infrastructure, not to mention lowering inflation & avoiding recession, Biden would be celebrating his second term right now. But the circus = more clicks = more $$$

What is the over/under on the number of congressional Dems who will have switched parties by this time next year? Because I’m betting it’s a non-zero number.

Propaganda, propaganda, propaganda. It’s NOT about hero worship except for a relatively small number of macho and religious crazy people. The election was lost (not won) based on propaganda, not on ideas.

Cool, who have we held to account in the past 4 years? All I've seen is money and power slow walking justice until it grinds to a halt or pardons get issued. I want offenders in cuffs, perp walks, charges filed, speedy trials, and real consequences with long prison terms. I want justice dammit!

Fuuuuuck that guy. Every time he opens his mouth he's basically saying, "Yay big tech. It can't do anything wrong. Whatever it wants I support. Gotta get campaign funds somehow right?"

There is nothing wrong with what democrats believe in. Or their candidates. Can’t you guys figure out that an equal amount of voters in the US are just spoiled , racist , tribal, prone to cults, prone to conspiracies, love criminals, hate others and some just mean people. They are trump

No one has to accept his framing of things, it's just solidly bullshit. The Dems have endorsed and funded dozens of job creating efforts these last 4 years while the GOP worked tirelessly to elect Trump who will kill America.

Democrats build infrastructure. The reason that the brains of Space X, biotechnology, and technology live in California is because the smart people are more liberal. Khanna would know that if he talked to people who live in his Bay Area district.

What is the infrastructure law that democrats fought for and that’s drastically changing for the better everything from airports to rail to highways? I think every attempt I’ve read as to why we lost is nonsensical. We lost because too many of us are sick puppies. Cultists really. Can’t see truth.

I’m pretty average and I think he is an absolute danger to democracy, general terrible person, pulling the ladder up behind him to end programs he benefited from that could help others.

Psaki mute while Rep. Khanna lies! Biden the most PRO-HI TECH POTUS in history! Biden out to make the U.S. World LEADER in Semi-Conductors and the largest manufacture of computer Chips thru the CHIPS and Science Act! It would have also spurred a BOOM in CLEANER ENERGY and created thousands of JOBS!

Giving a meglomaniac power thirsty billionaire citizen with authoritarian rightcleaning tendencies the keys to global communications and space exploratuin seems like a very bad idea for humanity and security.

Why is the answer always to play the GOP game? How about you stop working to the lowest common denominator & focus on reversing the decades of damage done to education. Then maybe we dedicate yourselves to slowing the steep decline toward idiocracy. It’s not about the message. You need to do shit.

You know what is pretty cool? Drivable roads, stable/safe power grids, health care that doesn’t bankrupt you when you get sick, social programs that take care of the average American. Musk can stick his appropriated rockets straight up his fake genius ass.

Weak frickin sauce. Translation: 'average Americans are too stupid to hold the 2 ideas that Musk and team have done wonders w SpaceX, and that he's eagerly seeking to destroy American democracy through Trump in their heads, so let's just give up and bend the knee to tyranny.' Fuuuuuck. You. Dude.

We need to be the party that recognizes that the middle class has been robbed of good jobs, their economic future and their dignity. And that D's are as responsible as R's for this. Decades of wealth distribution to the rich. Until we understand middle class anger - we are doomed as a party.

It is cool, but it’s the engineers at SpaceX who are responsible for the company’s success. Buying a company isn’t the same as innovation and doesn’t guarantee success. How well has X done since Musk bought it? They certainly reduced payroll but it’s become a hangout for white supremacists. Success?

This is the same party that gave up campaigning on Universal Healthcare, paid family leave, U pre-k, subsidized child/elder care, school meals, child tax credits, modern infrastructure, mass transit & affordable housing/higher ed. They campaigned on Trump & paraded around celebrities & billionaires.

Elania musk acquired SpaceX. He acquired tesla. He acquired Twitter. He builds little. He leverages other people's ingenuity. He's a middleman with money.

I dunno. Maybe a guy who boosts Nazis and had multiple awful anti-Semitic tweets in the past year…and is about to recommend gutting Medicare and Social Security…is actually a douche.

I rather like investing more in climate change and keeping the world live-able. Without a planet to sustain us nothing else matters. But convincing people of that has proven extremely difficult.

The focus of the ‘resistance’ shouldn’t be about finding ways to strengthen the Democratic Party, it should be finding ways to strengthen democracy. Getting Big Money out of politics is the first step. Repealing the Citizens United ruling is something all Americans can get behind. Champion this

There are Dems and Independents and even a Republican or two that adamantly oppose the influence of Big Money in politics. If the Dems truly want to gain the support of Americans, they would ignore their billionaire overlords, their own party and take on populist causes. This is the way.
