The only reason I can think of for this news not being absolutely everywhere is that large media orgs don’t want to be seen as putting their thumbs on the scales a week before election day. And that’s cowardly as shit.
Beyond disgusted by even more rape allegations against the President of the United States.
"In total, more than 25 different women...have independently accused Donald Trump of rape, sexual assault, or other sexual misconduct."

Not even close: Brazil’s election authority has declared Lula the mathematically certain winner of the presidential runoff.
With 97.69% of polling sections counted, Lula has 51.74% and Flávio Bolsonaro has 48.26%.
That puts Lula ahead by about 4.2 million votes.
SUSAN COLLINS: My heart goes out to the family of the man who was shot in Biddeford. My Duran Guerrero
TROY JACKSON: Well the man's name was Johan Sebastián Guerrero. That was his name.
holy shit -- a protester at the Trump rally gets physically assaulted after they interrupt the rally by a man who punches her in the face. Trump smears the protester as a "fat guy"
I think people should listen to what the administration trying to bring back spectacle lynchings, race riots, and middle passage-esque deportation voyages are trying to tell you about themselves. bsky.app/profile/bren...
The news just since I left work:
-A planned livestream of an execution by firing squad
-Trump basically trying to incite a pogrom against Somalis
Nothing mysterious or complicated about what's happening.
Part of why I don't like the AI-or-bust economy is the constant flopsweat of people on the news who say this HAS to work. Quit making everyone so anxious. Goddamn. If this is the next Google then why are you acting like this? I don't remember being told to buy an iPhone at gunpoint.
Stephen King should write a story about a Supreme Court Chief Justice vacationing on a remote Maine island, driven to madness by the consequences of his own decisions.
I’d put Mad Men at #1, BB & BCS at the next two spots, then The Leftovers
Reservation Dogs much much higher, maybe in top #10
Somebody Somewhere should also be much higher on list
Missing: Dark Winds, Fargo
The Sopranos would be #1 for me had it premiered one year later…
Every now and then I see myself referred to as an "AI Denier" and I want to be clear I acknowledge "AI" exists, it's just I think it's a massive energy drain, created from theft, implemented poorly for inappropriate tasks by loathsome tech executives who get hard at the idea of the rest of us dying
When they eventually make a movie about this time, please don't put the male politicians in good suits. IMO, the ugly, low rent tailoring should be part of the story.
Genuinely an insane paragraph from Sam Alito. “Voter fraud is real and scary and we have to stop it, so the fact that implementing Trump’s mail ballot rule will disenfranchise millions is legally irrelevant.” Brain melted. A right-wing podcaster in a robe. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/25p...
There are currently no active conversations for a full ‘MUPPET SHOW’ series revival.
Disney, The Muppets Studio and Point Grey Pictures have had difficulties with deciding on a premise for the series that they can all agree on.

Write it on the blackboard a thousand times: they will have to demolish the ballroom, the arch and so forth. They will have to make a show of it. You will get the usual sons of bitches saying we don’t do that in this country. We do now. That is not emotion, it’s politics. To do less is dereliction.
coming out against taco trucks is the caliber of self-imposed destruction with very few rivals. I'm thinking Pharaoh in the Book of Exodus, General Custer, Division General Leclerc. Sun Tzu wrote a whole book about not giving your opps this much to work with
On the airport sound system so far: Tell it to My Heart by Taylor Dayne, and I Just Want to Get Close to You, by Maxi Priest. Hey, I remember those jams.
I know it sucks, but Dems have got to be prepared to inherit a munitions-and-readiness hole that is going to be expensive to fill, but which will need to be filled.
Hardly the only such hole, but it will be a big one.
I don't really have an objection to the CEO saying Bluesky is open to all; it's kind of his job to do that. But as others have pointed out, the design of the site means it's harder for trolls/bots/chuds *and also* influencers/hypebeasts to get traction. The "bubble" here is actually normal humans.
