Dumbo octopuses (genus Grimpoteuthis) kind of look like a cartoon ghost with large fins that look like elephant ears. They flap their fins to propel their gelatinous bodies through the ocean. They are also the deepest dwelling octopuses, with one being observed at a depth of 6,957 m. #OCTOtober

I read up a little about autistic burnout a while ago. I'm not sure if what I feel right now is a lack of interest in my special interests or a heightened sense of perceived threat or self-consciousness on my interests and feeling like I have to hide them from others

Roller Cola Girl Virgin Cola 1999-2003 Designed by Jamie Hewlett and animated by the team behind Gorillaz' videos, this rollerskating, gunslinging babe was portrayed as running the Virgin HQ, or the Home of Hedonism. She only made three animated appearances prior to the cola's inevitable downfall.

Three years ago, my dad said that all fish are the same shape. Out of spite, I decided to draw all 478 families of bony fish listed in Nelson 2016. There's still some stuff I need to edit and some fish I want to redraw but, after 985 days, I finished my big dumb fish project last night.

#Barbarella, #illustration inspired by the 1968 Roger Vadim movie I did for Heroines book published by #Hachette France. An iconic milestone to pulp #SF style, such as the Jean-Claude Forest's #comics. Also I'm a huge fan of Jane Fonda then and now πŸ›ΈπŸ›°οΈβ #scifi #pulp #retro #margueritesauvage

This owl was getting banded and tagged by the Rocky Point Bird Observatory. For the owl’s safety, he/she was wrapped up. These photosβ€¦πŸ€£πŸ¦‰. So cute.

A cute mascot for JAST's series of 'JustSound' voice synthesizers for NEC computers (primarily PC-98) in 1989. Now you could have (some) of your favourite bishoujo games read to you via the printer port and PCM audio in what the ad promised as a 'natural voice'. πŸ“Ί: Technopolis, February 1989

When Grammy-winning musician Rhiannon Giddens begins playing β€œOld Corn Liquor,” a traditional Black American folk tune, acclaimed Chinese pipa virtuoso Wu Man recognizes similarities to Chinese pentatonic music and spontaneously joins in. The joy on their faces says it all.
