i say this a lot but the speed with which things turned back on trans people after about ~5-6 years is absolutely dizzying

We are swiftly headed for a society in which a trans kid must undergo state mandated torture, are banned from being on line, are banned from hanging out in most public spaces, are banned from using bathrooms at school, banned from accessing the health care they need, and banned from playing sports.

Importantly, the court did not grant politicians what we know they wanted from the start: a broad precedent restricting the freedom of all transgender people in our schools, workplaces, and communities. We will never stop defending trans people's equality and freedom.

it's very possible the House will pass their bad version of KOSA. It's different than the Senate's bad version, though, and there is a very good chance they will be unable to reconcile the differences. We have to keep the pressure on.

Debate for HR 7757 just ended. Not a single Democrat spoke in opposition to the bill. The vote is expected tonight and this bill will be catastrophic if it passes. Call your representatives. Be kind to the staffers who answer, but do not hide your anger.

Another thing worth noting is apparent backlash from other politicians & parents/groups(for the wrong fucking reasons) is leaving their "pass on rules suspemded" plan for KIDS Act in jeopardy. So lets keep up the calls to make it fail harder
