Lead role announcement! After 5 years of development, Twisted Tower launches on Steam today! I voice Vincent, a down-on-his-luck medical student on a deadly quest to win back the love of his life. He must fight his way up a vertical theme park, best described as Bioshock-meets-Disney-World.

Delighted to see the response to Twisted Tower! It's currently rated Overwhelmingly Positive after 600 reviews and counting! Congrats to Thomas Brush, Alaina Wis, Ferah Ahmet, Joe Rawlinson-Hunt, and thanks to DualShockers, Gamer Social Club, Tim Bowman Media, and Truly Disturbing for the reviews!

Personal highlights have been getting to record scenes with my incredible castmates @alainawis.bsky.social (Charlotte) and Ferah Ahmet (Piper). And bonus thanks go to Joe Rawlinson-Hunt for absolutely nailing the role of Mr Twister and setting the tone for the entire game.

The FPS indie horror game is the result of 5 years’ dedication by developer, @thomasbrush.bsky.social (Neversong, Pinstripe). It’s been inspiring to see Thomas rework the scope, story, and characters based on playtester feedback and his own taste. Can’t wait to see what made it into the final game!

I don't know how to explain to the people who pop up when creatives complain about "AI" to say there are legit uses for it just how much they sound like someone saying "Well actually fire is used to make bread" when people are talking about an organized arson ring burning down their fucking houses

The perpetuation of AI hype and boosterism is predicated on easy compliance. Refusal -- individually and collectively -- matters.

They bought all of our choices, political, lifestyle and economic. But they did not wager the cost of our *refusal*. It is fascinating. Grim but fascinating.

Had so much fun playing the demo at NGP and can confirm it is A LOT less miserable

I always smile when I remember this 900 year old Sam & Max fanart, carved into some old twelfth century church in england

Even in a genre that’s become as saturated as the soulslike, there’s still nothing that hits quite like the Nioh series, and Nioh 3 stands out as the best of the trilogy. Our review: https://bit.ly/49YWAbd

PMG won the Knickerbocker Award for Best Games Journalism last night at the @nyvgcc.bsky.social! It feels like we've come such a long way since we first launched this thing nearly eight years ago, but winning a journalism award at an event in NEW YORK CITY still seems totally mad to me.

I'm stunned that there hasn't been more chatter about Tainted Grail: Fall of Avalon as we come into the end of the year? Someone that isn't Bethesda done did Their Own Full Elder Scroll, in the year of our lord 2025. I'd expect that to be a bigger deal!

Thank you to everyone who responded to the UK govt consultation earlier this year. It makes it very clear where the sentiment lies

Ed Newton-Rex@ednewtonrex.bsky.social

🚨 The UK government just published a breakdown of the responses to its consultation on AI & copyright: - 95% of respondents want AI companies to pay for their training data (made up of 88% saying strengthen copyright law, & 7% saying leave it as is) 🧵 1/2

Congratulations to the entire Nioh 3 production team and my VA colleagues on the premiere of the latest trailer at the awards last night! Actually my second appearance at said awards, after the Black Myth Wukong trailer in 2023.

For Arc Raiders to ride the wave of human sociability all the way to the bank, while also being so contemptuous of the thing that makes us social animals in its own workflow demonstrates a lack of artistic integrity that I find impossible to ignore. Our review: https://bit.ly/49bVn01

Really hard to whittle down to 10... so I'll consider this a starter pack. *10 Games to Get to Know Me* Clockwise from top left: Elite Dangerous (2014) - My most played game for the last 11 years. 'It's not rocket science...' Morrowind (2002) - My first open world game. Got jumpscared by thunder.

Life Is Strange (2016) - Played it with a dear friend. The atmosphere, music, visuals. Felt like a teenager again. Broken Sword (1996) - George's opening monologue was the first voice acting I'd heard in a game. And Nico's appartment set unreasonably high standards for rented accommodation.

Disco Elysium (2019) - Atmosphere in spades. Art, soundtrack, narration, humour. Firewatch (2015) - The story, visual style, soundtrack, super strong voice acting. Turt Reynolds. Sim City 2000 (1993) - One of the only games our old PC would run (alongside Civ2 and Theme Hospital).

Final Fantasy VIII (1999) - My first JRPG. Loved the music, art style, characters. Monkey Island 3 (1997) - Art style, music, humour, three-headed monkeys. Half Life 2 (2004) - First game on my first gaming pc. The world, the characters, the pacing, Havok physics - especially that water...

"...or wherever you place your emphasis." I listen to so many podcasts that I must have heard every possible variation of this phrase. There's no one right way... but some sound more natural than others. If you still can't get this or any other sentence sounding right - give me a call! 😁
