Conservatives had a landslide victory in BC solely because the NDP massively lost support and people didn’t turn out. Cons actually had fewer votes than the last election. The only party that gained in popularity were the Greens.

The part nobody wants to hear… If we want to win, we will need folks that voted for the BC Conservatives on our side and we will have to do the patient and generous work to move them there. Calling everyone stupid and racist won’t do it. Write it in your journal folks.

I really hope that anyone who advised or encouraged Eby to call a snap gets fired. They are completely out of touch. What a humiliating fumble.

Tbh we needed something better than: “Don’t split the vote” and “Anyone but Conservative” We need someone who we can actually be excited about and would actually fight to make things better for us. A REAL progressive candidate.

Eby lost this election through multiple egregious mistakes, arrogance & lack of political skill. But we also need to see his catastrophic loss as proof of what happens when "progressives" swing to the right. Eby is not the first centrist to be taught this lesson. Can the NDP learn? #bcpoli
