Let’s talk about Medicare for All. What would it mean for the individual American? ⬇ The day you’re born you get a card that gives you health insurance with no premium, co-pay, or deductible. Doesn’t matter if you get a job, lose a job, turn 26 or 65, get married or divorced — it's there for you.

If you can find common ground with Jared kusher, but not zohran mamdani, you shouldn't be in democratic leadership

“Representative Hakeem Jeffries, Democrat of New York and the minority leader, met privately in recent weeks with Jared Kushner, President Trump’s son-in-law and top outside adviser, and discussed potential areas of common ground, according to five people with knowledge of the meeting.” BRUH.

Whether it's Republicans lying about the LA mayor election, or lying about screwworm, or using AI to lie about James Talarico, the Democratic instinct is to correct the record, condemn the attack and move on. It should be to weave a story about the opposition's putrid, morally corrosive dishonesty.

offmessage.netThe Black Mold Of Republican LiesEven when their smears aren't helpful to them in the short run, they harm Democrats in the long run. Here's a prescription for deterrence.

Reading between the lines. JD Vance and his billionaire handler, Peter Thiel, are strategically leaking damaging information about Trump to the press. Expect Vance and Thiel to make their move after the midterm Republican wipeout.. A palace coup appears to be Vance’s only chance to be President.

This fight isn't over. We need law, not promises. And remember: Trump's settlement forces the IRS (that he controls) to drop ALL audits of Trump, his family and businesses. Dropping one of those audits could save Trump $100 MILLION. I have a bill to stop this corruption.

The absolute bottom of the journalistic barrel is people in the media chiding Scott Pelley for having the gall to confront Bilton. If you want a job licking boots, become a bootlicker. You’re not a journalist.

The low-hanging fruit is Blanche and maybe half a dozen others involved with the "fund." You campaign on putting them in prison, no one will stop you. "Intent to defraud," "two billion of your money to insurrectionists, crooks..." No one dares. That's how you get people used to the idea.

Swift boating worked because democrats did the “we won’t dignify this with a response” thing and looked to the mainstream media to debunk it. It’s one of the dumbest things the party has ever done and it’s still how they operate today.

alaskabev.bsky.social@alaskabev.bsky.social

The swift boating worked because the media refused to call out the absurdity of comparing Kerry’s military record with the OTHER elitist’s sketchy (to say the least) military record. Republicans & the media are all so quick to say “We honor your service”until a Democrat runs for office!

They put one of yours in the hospital, you put out a statement about how disappointed you are. That’s the centrist way.

The editorial cartoonist's pen is one of the sharpest tools in journalism, whittling issues down to basics for satire or rage. I'm proud to say that my long-ago colleague, Milt Priggee, is unafraid to shock with a tough point of view.

Missouri's murder rate is 73% HIGHER than California’s. No amount of right-wing spinning can change reality: our state is investing in prevention, enforcement, and is holding criminals accountable. The U.S. Senator from Missouri should fix his own failed policies before lecturing us.

for me impeachment isn't what we should be after. this president and most of his cabinet and staff should be prosecuted for corruption, fraud, war crimes, obstruction, and all the various crimes they have committed. i will only vote for a presidential candidate in 2028 who commits to this.

AZMountainGirl reposted

Just to be very clear: The Trump DOJ is stealing $1.2 million of your money to gift one of Trump’s cronies, who pled guilty to the crimes he was charged with, and whose suit against the government had already been tossed by a judge.

I wish we would stop using the word conservative for U.S. Republicans. There’s nothing conservative about starting new wars, or funding an untrained army of ICE agents making it among the twenty most highly funded military forces in the world, or raiding county clerks’ offices or public libraries.

There are a lot of posts out there with the close-up visual of Markwayne Mullin on January 6, but this is a better perspective. He’s not protecting others; he’s protecting himself and hiding. You can see plenty of people at the entry door, ready to take on the insurrectionists, but not Markwayne.

🧵Feels like shouting into the void, but it is essential to note that the Trump/Rubio gutting of the State Department and blowtorching of US diplomatic capacity and credibility is an accelerant to this spiraling war and will seriously undercut US/allied efforts to pick up the pieces after. 1/

It's absolutely sickening. This entire thing was orchestrated by the rightwing to elevate Talarico and stop Jasmine Crockett because she's ahead in the polls. And the Left not only fell for it but is enabling it. MAGA is terrified of Jasmine Crockett. Ken Paxton wants to run against Talarico. WTF!

I’m sad the original post doesn’t allow replies. I’d love to see some of the examples around the US. I’ll start. A 40ish “kid” in Phoenix who started a few bespoke exercise studios. When his ill advised marriage didn’t work out took time off to travel for a year and find himself.

It all adds up. And the whole of the Trump Redux evil is greater than the sum of its malignant parts. There is today a convergence of criminality—every bad thing everywhere all at once: amoral men & women of great means and influence, in league with Epstein & his child sex trafficking network...

These signs have been going up all over the Valley. Turning Point had launched a new website about the SRP election, this is the first project of their new "Arizona PAC," and they’re putting their “Chase the Vote” initiative behind the SRP election and Biggs for governor.

These are the TP candidates for SRP’s board (you can see the TP logo at top right). Taken near Chandler Road/I-10 outside a coffee shop. These candidates want fossil fuels and nothing but.
