Russia's strike on Nova Vodolaha killed not only Angelina in her stroller but also Arina Koval (8). Arina's brother, Artem (12), was critically injured and died in a Kyiv hospital on Oct 26. Their mother survived – but lost both her children.

Perhaps it didn’t make the news in your media. Yesterday, russia damaged the Book Chamber of Ukraine in Kyiv. It holds 15+ million books, newspapers, magazines and maps published in Ukraine since 1917. The collections are now at risk from moisture. Windows in the storage areas were blown out.

Where is even the bare minimum of empathy? Of moral responsibility? Of basic human decency? And please, spare me the bullshit about national interests. I struggle to see how financially enabling Putin to keep killing Ukrainians and bombing Ukrainian cities serves the American people.
