Ukraine could have surrendered in 2014. But we didn’t. Ukraine could have surrendered in 2022. But we didn’t. And we could surrender now. But we will not. We. Are. Ukrainians. We will not surrender.

And again, getting to the right bank of Kyiv is going to take me half a day and turn into a whole quest. After last night’s Russian ballistic missile attack, the Southern Bridge was damaged, metro service is disrupted, and traffic across the bridge is currently suspended.

The war is going so well for Russia that Putin is cutting off mobile data in downtown Moscow this week during 2 major conferences he is attending, hoping it will keep Ukrainian drones away. Spoiler alert: it won't keep Ukrainian drones away.

Oh maaaan, they KEEP raining ballistic missiles down on us here in Kyiv. HUGE EXPLOSIONS. Reports suggest Russia may be using ballistic missiles with cluster warheads.

I'm sure President Obama had his faults, but given that MAGA only ever seems to shout about his middle name, or lie about his place of birth, there can't have been too many. Also, he got Bin Laden.

It is now 0300 on October 27th, and the ceasefire in Oleshky has just taken effect. Putin's track record with ceasefires to date has been absolutely terrible. I hope, for the sake of the civilians trapped there without food and clean water, that this time is different.

Reports indicate Putin wants NATO to return to 1997 borders and withdraw from the Baltics, Poland, and Finland among others. He knows damn well NATO will never agree to this. That's not his goal. He wants Trump to agree to this in some manner to eliminate US Article 5 support.

Watch for signs the US is pausing involvement in the planned "Fort Trump" permanent presence in Poland which was announced last month because "peace negotiations", the same excuse used to waive Graham Act sanctions. That will mean Putin achieved his goal.

The Storm Shadows sent by the UK last week have been rapidly put to good use. The Proton plant in Oryol and the Energia plant in Yelets, which both produce missile components, were hit this week. Thank you to our UK allies for helping us cut Russian missile production.💙💛

‼️Putin's ally Vučić conceded defeat after a big election loss in Serbia. The opposition won an outright majority after record voter turnout. Magyar, commenting on the similarity to Hungary's election, offered his support to the incoming Serbian government. Good to see this.

Viktor Orban vying desperately to regain his previous title of the world's greatest asshole.

Trump and Putin have an idea: make Viktor Orbán secretary general of the UN, in order to weaken and undermine the organization still further.

Steve Witkoff & Jared Kushner are sh*theads. Hopefully, they'll serve as a warning to others not to have sh*theads represent your country, because they'll try and sell it to whoever pays them rubles and pretends they're not sh*theads.

‼️Kremlin aide Ushakov just confirmed what was widely believed, the US agreed to force Ukraine to capitulate: "Before, it seemed after Anchorage, that the U.S. administration might be able to dictate something and force Kyiv to comply. But so far, this hasn't really worked out"

🔥 A little more good news for your Sunday. Missiles struck the Energia plant in Yelets, Russia. The facility supplies Russia’s military-industrial complex, producing batteries for missile systems, aircraft, and other military equipment.

Russia has destroyed the last remaining Epicentr home improvement store in Kharkiv. As rescue workers were dealing with the aftermath, Russian forces struck AGAIN, injuring three emergency responders.

Where's Melania's invite yo????

For the first time since 2022, Russia allowed a representative of another country to visit Ukrainian POWs: Cardinal Matteo Zuppi, special envoy of Pope Leo XIV. Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets said he hopes this dynamic continues and more Ukrainians return home. #Ukraine

Fallout from the Starlink restrictions could hit US weapons exports such as the F-35. There were already concerns that the F-35 has a built-in software kill switch. And the US actions on Starlink just turned that risk from theoretical to something proven and real. Very costly choice by the US.

Something's not adding up on Starlink restrictions: * Elon said Starlink "closed a loophole" last week * However, reports note Starlink was already speed-limited to 70-90km/h in winter 2026 * Starshield is US Gov-owned with no speed limits, and Ukraine uses it Did Elon cap Starshield himself? 🤔

If only Elon had stuck to building rockets and sustainable energy. He would have been remembered as a once in a century visionary. Instead, he'll be remembered as Trump's b*tch desperate to get invited to Epstein's parties.

Join me in wishing Dmytro a happy birthday in the comments! And if you haven’t bought his book yet, what better occasion than his birthday to get yourself a copy?🌟

❄️ Keep an eye on the Russian winter diesel situation over the next few months. To stop diesel from freezing, kerosene is added to make winter diesel. But Russia banned kerosene exports in June due to shortages. Expect mass gelling, plugged filters, and unusable vehicles soon.

Canadian PM Carney: "I search for the right adjective to describe whoever took this decision, or a group of people took this decision, against a country… that is literally fighting for the lives of its citizens against naked aggression" Anyone have suggested adjectives to help PM Carney?

Oh, right it's to distract from Jared being caught selling US foreign policy to dictators. Makes sense.

Ah yes, attack the Iranian nuclear power plant, and when they retaliate and the Middle East starts burning again, remember to blame Ukraine for the high energy prices I genuinely do not understand how people this stupid are running the most powerful country in the world

Rubio knows perfectly well this is a LIE. And so does everyone else. This war was NEVER just about Donbas. Russia invaded through Belarus to capture Kyiv, attempted to overthrow Ukraine’s government, attacked the country from multiple directions, and tried to seize territory far beyond Donbas.

Putin has repeatedly denied Ukraine’s right to exist as an independent nation. His demands have always gone far beyond territory: they concern Ukraine’s sovereignty, its foreign policy, and its right to choose its own future.

💥 EPIC footage of successive strikes on the Proton plant in Oryol, Russia! The plant supplies components used in the production of Russia’s S-71 Kover air-launched cruise missiles, 9M723 Iskander-M ballistic missiles, and Pantsir-S1 air defence systems.

❗️RIGHT NOW: Drones are attacking Moscow! All FOUR of the Russian capital’s airports have suspended arrivals and departures. Evacuations are underway at Sheremetyevo Airport.

🇺🇦 WONDERFUL NEWS! 270 Ukrainians have returned home from Russian captivity! Among them are five people who were believed to have been killed in the Olenivka massacre in July 2022. Imagine what this means for their families. Welcome home! ❤️🇺🇦

Zelensky: “I believe even Russians would benefit from Ukraine joining NATO. It would provide THEM with greater security than keeping Ukraine outside the Alliance.” EXACTLY.

#SwampChronicles Russian human rights groups report forced military recruitment in 34 territories including occupied Crimea. Men are being snatched from streets, homes and workplaces, beaten and pressured into signing contracts to fight in Ukraine. Even disabled and seriously ill men are targeted.

Putin keeps calling it voluntary recruitment. But the reality looks increasingly like mobilisation by kidnapping. Although Russia never officially announced a new wave of mobilisation after the elections, seems like covert mobilisation has been intensifying.
