i am inviting anyone from a legacy media organization to explain to me why the house judiciary dems report on trump’s epstein’s ties and multiple allegations of rape isn’t worthy of extensively reporting on. i’m serious. i want to understand.

Once more - people's chief beef with Democrats that we hear consistently in focus groups and see in surveys is too weak, not too woke.

JD Vance is so humble, he's humble enough to tell everyone how humble he is.

Aaron Rupar@atrupar.com

yikes -- JD Vance butchers the pronunciation of Helena during his speech in Montana and then says, "I am humble enough to admit when I'm wrong"

This will be essential to the survival of America. Dems cannot - must not - be allowed to wimp out or otherwise think they won for any reason other than we demand accountability and the restoration of American norms and the Constitution.

Leaders of the No Kings movement are already gearing up for the next major grassroots campaign: Making sure congressional Democrats don’t wimp out. My first piece at @newrepublic.com! (Reposted to update link card) newrepublic.com/article/2168...

Trump is scum and so is Todd Blanche.

Purple Teacher@peaceandteachin.bsky.social

House Judiciary report released by Democrats lays out Trump’s involvement in the Epstein files with 5 women saying they were raped by Trump and/or trafficked to him. It also accuses Blanche of a cover up and witness tampering with Maxwell. #ProudBlue#Voices4Victory #OneV1 www.ms.now/news/house-j...

Republicans in TX were traditionally more accepting of Latinos than many other Republican states. GWB was able to translate this goodwill from his time as governor to a strong showing among Latinos in both his presidential bids. The nightmare for Texas Rs is a Dem leaning mobilized Latino population

Here's the updated Hispanic/Latino numbers from selected states. Sure appears we have a clear and documented backlash to Trump's cruel mass deportations policies on our hands. 2/

Silicon Valley companies that ingratiated themselves with President Trump’s Washington are bracing for the possibility of a Democratic Congress — and with it congressional investigations targeting their dealings with the president and his administration.

washingtonpost.comPowerful executives cozied up to Trump. Now they fear a reckoning.Firms that aligned with the president are preparing for a political pendulum swing — and a potential barrage of investigations.

1/2 Excellent piece by Greg Sargent who reports, "officials during Trump’s first administration looked into this Omar theory and found no basis."

Greg Sargent@gregsargent.bsky.social

NEWS --> Dems are planning novel ways to wield power of the purse against Trump's corrupt prosecutions of critics like Ilhan Omar if they win House. Reps Pramila Jayapal and Jamie Raskin tell me a range of aggressive tactics will be deployed. Details in my new piece: newrepublic.com/article/2171...

2/2 Sargent also says, "even if Omar’s father did falsify the form, it’s not at all clear Omar herself would be liable for it." If it ends up she is, I demand we deport Melania and Barron.

It really is too bad that more high-profile Dems didn't come to Elissa Slotkin's defense last week. A huge amount rids on whether the narrative we propound about the election is 1) Dems won to hold Trump accountable or 2) Dems won because prices are too high. 🧵 www.offmessage.net/p/wheres-the...

offmessage.netWhere’s The Music? This election is a referendum on Trump’s attempt to rule as king. Democrats should close on putting down his rebellion, no matter what happens to the price of diesel.

4/5 “…to prominently appear at Trump’s inauguration; to revamp The Post’s opinion pages so they would promote personal liberties and free markets, without publishing dissenting viewpoints…”

2/5 They report Bob Woodward as saying he supported Bezos at first but that, "things changed in the fall of 2024, when Bezos ordered The Post’s editorial board to kill a draft endorsement of Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris”

I love the opening line of this unusually frank NYT "news analysis". It starts, "For months, President Trump has mounted a sustained effort to attack the integrity of U.S. elections..." -- a phrase that has at least 2 completely opposite interpretations. www.nytimes.com/2026/10/25/u...

My summary of the just completed oral argument in the 9th Circuit's emergency hearing on the California ballot segregation demand from DOJ:

The achievement of Serbian students overthrowing Aleksandar Vučić can't be overstated. In 2024, they began protesting. In 2025, they transformed a protest movement into civil dissidence. In 2026, they became a political party — and two months later, crushed a corrupt state-entrenched authoritarian.

I would feel bad for the DOJ lawyer getting creamed by this panel but he is taking an evil position and trying to subvert free and fair elections.

So far this argument is a disaster for DOJ, even if Judge Butamay goes along. (We will see what questions he asks to CA and Los Angeles)

7/7 OR 4) Trump specifically talks to Mike Johnson and demands, as per Russel Vought, that they not swear in a list of Democrats b/c they can’t legitimately take the oath of office, including any “anti-constitutionalists,” including socialists like AOC and/or any Muslims like Abdul El-Sayed etc.

actually El-Sayed would not be talking to Mike Johnson so not the best example but 1) there a re other Muslims in the House and 2) senators also have to swear oaths so the same tactic works on the Senate side

Many pundits and strategists are basically denying that this blatant Islomophobia is even happening. They're trying to argue that Abdul El-Sayed will perform a few points behind other Democrats because he's Too Far Left. The GOP isn't even attacking his policy positions! It's entirely about identity

6/7 OR 3) Todd Blanche specifically talks to Kash Patel & tells him to send FBI agents to specific county boards of canvassers or state boards of elections or secretary of state offices and arrest attempted certifiers in key states before they can certify.

4/7 What specific person talks to who? 1) Trump specifically talks to Mike Johnson who specifically talks to the House Clerk to inform him he is being replaced with a MAGA lackey & then that specific MAGA lackey talks to the whole House when he informs them that he will not seat several Democrats.

2/7 Bouie asks, “What specific person talks to what specific person to invalidate 435 congressional elections, to invalidate 30 Senate elections, right? That’s not a thing.”

Don't forget the drop dead argument vs Trump's Big Dumb Lie re the 2020 election, the thing that none of the election deniers can explain & exposes them as liars: EVEN Trump's corrupt, dishonest, partisan AG, Bill Barr, said the election was clean & quit b/c EVEN he couldn't be part of such a lie.

Trump is a wholly owned subsidiary of Vladimir Putin

US executives quit as Trump turns control over massive Alaska energy project to Putin underlings. The former chief executive of a $25bn US gas export venture says Russian energy giant Novatek was given control of the project by Trump, triggering a mass resignation of company leadership

The Fool❌👑 reposted

This was always going to happen. My guess is that Trump will issue a blanket pardon for every political appointee. Signaling a move like this will embolden his underlings to disregard and break the law. And that's the point.
