70 percent of the internet was vulnerable yesterday to very bad security flaws inside a coding language. Turns out, *one volunteer* is mostly responsible for maintaining that code & helping push updates. Yesterday Ondřej Surý saved the internet. So I called him up www.theatlantic.com/technology/2...

This means that the increased price of RAM and consumer electronics was a result of an artificial "supply chain crisis" created by Jensen Huang pushing NVIDIA's customers to take early delivery of GPUs. Jensen Huang is responsible for making life worse for everyone.

Ed Zitron@edzitron.com

NVIDIA seems to be channel stuffing, forcing Amazon and other customers to take early delivery. The argument that these things are "scarce" when you don't even have anywhere to plug them into is nonsense...unless NVIDIA is saying you NEED to take them now, or else. GPUs are stacked in warehouses.

Duele decirlo, pero esto es para ponerse a dar hostias y no parar. Con la "autocrítica" que vais a decir con semblante compungido que haréis después, los votantes de izquierda nos limpiamos el culo.

Why do we keep on doing this? Praising a 'small core team' for a game with 1100+ people in the credits is incredibly misleading. This PR narrative hurts, hides the massive shadow workforce of outsourced developers and testers, and sets impossible standards for actual indie teams.

GamesIndustry.biz@gibiz.bsky.social

Star Wars: Galactic Racer was made by a core team of 75 people. "What we wanted to do was keep that core small, smaller than perhaps you might have done in the past, and scale capacity and capability with what we call distributed development." https://bit.ly/4hT02qg

Y pasa con todo, no solo con los jueguitos.

Lur Noise@lurnoise.bsky.social

Feels good not to be very affected by hype because every three months a supposed masterpiece of a game comes out and everybody starts talking about it only to be relegated to the "Eh, it was ok I guess" less than a year later.

Creo que Marx podría explicar fácilmente por qué las élites de la derecha se ponen fácilmente de acuerdo y las de la izquierda no ante comicios electorales y es simplemente por el lugar del que proviene su excedente económico. Me explico:
