lowkey hoping AI actually somehow becomes sentient so its harder for billionaires to have computer slaves and we'll get a cool Iain M. Banks-esque future

Kenney Shape is now FREE! (and it'll remain free, forever) โœจ Previously a paid tool, I'm releasing it as a gift to the community. Today's update will be the final one, with no further updates planned. That way I can focus on new software & projects! kenney.itch.io/kenney-shape

artistic interpretation for when friends ask me why deltarune is locked to 30fps, why light and dark world run at different resolutions and other fun quirks

doom levels with the most angelic calming music that sounds like something out of pokemon mystery dungeon / old runescape and then its like 999999 hell torture enemies and 7 archviles per room

realized that despite it having a less ergonomic shape claw gripping a 50g mouse gives me way less wrist fatigue than palm gripping a 150g mx master

nostalgic about threatening my phone to take the battery out if it didn't unfreeze. now my pixel 7 battery's inflating and i have to reenact a jerryrigeverything video just to replace it

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

when i was a kid i used to blink my eyes repeatedly after minor hurts to pretend i had i-frames and ended up actually worrying my parents

RIP to a legend

That Tom Hall@thattomhall.bsky.social

RIP Bobby Prince. His music legacy will live on, making inspired music for Commander Keen, Wolfenstein 3D, DOOM, countless others. A true legend. And such a nice man, great musician, wonderful, fun-loving man, nothing but happy memories of him. A loss to the world.

SaaS will always be a youtube poop word . Do not let big tech corporations convince u it means Software as a service

on a crittertech development side note, i like to think his expressions get more subtle the more intense the feeling. still trying to figure out how to make his eyebrow folds look like eyebrow folds and not eyes when there's no eyes pareidolia claws at the first thing that vaguely fits, its fucked

its kinda genius how it manages to completely break my usual "dissociate from danger go in guns blazing" approach. separating the creature from Me and making it wince in pain is enough to fuck with my empathy and make me play overly cautious

(i got overly excited to meet another creature, broke into their pod through the glass, stabbed my paws into the glass and died from an infection because i used the disinfectant shower too early ๐Ÿ’”)

I can have IntelliJ, firefox, libreoffice open on my laptop at the same time and it pulls like 5w. but the moment I open discord and enter a call it pulls ~13w. it's kinda impressive how resource heavy it is. makes me wonder if it saps performance from my desktop too.

Any discussions on late 90s gaming in Italy would be unfair without Tabboz Simulator. Released in 1997, it was a simple Tamagotchi-like "white trash" simulator: get into fights with metalheads, get a girlfriend, modify your scooter and buy loads of furry clothes. Its portability was a great feat.

Welp, Godot has officially passed a new milestone: GDscript, in a blink-and-you'll-miss-it moment, officially debuted in an anime. The new anime Needy Girl Overdose shows a few lines of very clear GDscript on a computer monitor in the first episode around the 9 minute mark. (Credit: u/Quincyillpie)

treated myself to some noctua fans for my pc i thought i was hearing them make a ticking noise, but it was the ever so slight gpu coil whine from the cursor blinking in libreoffice

In Mario Kart Wii, crashing the game and activating the crash handler will eventually start playing back the contents of the Wii's RAM as sound. Since the data was never intended to be interpreted like this, it ends up sounding like experimental harsh noise music.

i have a bad habit of dropping stuff I'm watching/playing halfway in, and the chance is proportional to how long something is. but occasionally something really clicks for me and suddenly I've watched like 90 episodes of jjba in a month
