A photon doesn’t experience any time passing due to relativistic time dilation. The irony is that from the traveler’s standpoint, the closer they get to the speed of light a.k.a. causality, the more they experience moving faster than light. Onlookers are the ones experiencing a long wait.

I'm unconvinced FTL is actually possible. I want it to be, but I'm skeptical. There's evidence it's effectively universal speed limit rather than a property of light per se. There's a reason I made Xorientation's plot involve an interstellar ship that uses VR worlds to keep people sane.
